Today, until around 2:00 p.m. it was 60 degrees! Then we got a thunderstorm, and I mean a good one, complete with 45 mph winds, thunder, lightening, and about an inch of rain in 45 minutes. Temps had gone down to 40's. Around 3:00 p.m. we got hail for a good 20 minutes with temps lowering even more. Then, we had about 2 hours of sleet with 45-50 mph winds and the temperature dropped to 20's. Now it's lightly snowing with 50 mph winds and we're in a tornado watch!!
My husband was traveling back from the VA center in Danville and said he couldn't believe the multitude of weather changes he encounted driving home. When he hit Springfield (about 20 minutes south of us) he said it was snowing like a banchee, big, huge flakes. This is just crazy:panic!

Here in NW Ohio @ 7PM, we are just starting to see the very leading edge of all that. Sounds like we're in for a fun evening.
BTW, I hear "banshee" all the time from folks ...... have for many years .... finally looked it up. I assumed it was, if a real word, an animal or something. Wrong! It's from Irish folklore: a female spirit that wails of impending death or something like that. :)

I'm from southern Illinois, and we just had a huge thunderstorm maybe an hour and a half ago, almost 60mph winds, and hail, tornado warnings. Very wierd weather, now we're expecting snow.

Today in Texas something strange happened.
Their was a haze all over the sky early today and then out of nowhere this huge wind came up for like 10 minuets then died.
It was so strong that it blew the Roofers stuff all the way to another roof.
It just struck me as odd.

We're now getting hit with really high winds, after having rain overnight.

Yep, it dropped 40 degrees in less than 24 hours in Indiana. We had severe storms and high wind damage. It ripped part of the roof off of the courthouse across the street from the law office where I work. Then we are supposed to get ice/sleet/accumulating snow tomorrow night into Friday. The weather just gets wackier and wackier

scientists say that the moon has an effect over the earth. Could that asteroid that just kinda, sorta passed have an effect similiar ?? Or is this just more signs/birthpangs ??

I read that as the asteroid passes through the magnetosphere that it may have some effect on the weather. Looks like they may be right!

I moved away from Illinois last year because I hated the weather AND feel that Illinois is one of the main states that God will pour his wrath upon soon. Chicago is almost as godless as San Francisco. I got so sick of all the godless tolerance that Chicago and the Suburbs continue to have. This extreme weather is no surprise to me, next thing you will probably see is another "katrina" of some sorts, who knows. How much longer will God hold back his judgement on a city that mocks Him?:preach
