Increasingly today in Christian music bands are beggining to use foul language in their songs here are some example

This review is from a review of Fauxiliage an allegedly christian band with Leigh Nash, who is the singer for sixpence none the richer, on vocals

While she writes ambiguously, she's also not afraid to mince words, stating bluntly (and arguably inappropriately) "It's hard as h*** tonight to sleep"

This is from a review for Jon Foreman's, Switchfoots lead singer, winter EP

The heart-wrenching song is a standout indeed, but a tough listen due to its theme (And it will be worth a note to some that the song's opening verse features Jon singing, "She yells, 'if you were homeless, Sure as h*** you'd be drunk."

This i a review for Number One Gun's new album "The North Pole project"
From songs like "Wake Me Up" to "I'll Find You," the tone of the entire record stays positive throughout. A point worth noting, however, is the use of "hell" in an exclamatory way on "Thank you Ending."

All of these CD's have came out since August 2007!! This filth is being marketed to young christian and people assume that because they are buying it at a christian bookstore it is good clean christian music. These people are being decieved by these wolves in sheeps clothing.

Christian music never had this type of foul language in the past. King David certainly never cussed in any of his Psalms, Fanny Crosby would have never in a million years put such foul langauge in her hymns, Petra and Dc Talk would have never used such vile terms in their music!!

Maranatha!!

that is absolutely inappropriate language for Christian music. In fact, it isnt true christian music. Secular music with a christian label.

What ever happened to music that declares the holiness, righteousness, and goodness of God? More and more Christian music has lost its soul. Today it just sounds like "Jesus is my boyfriend."

Actually that is giving Christian music to much credit out of the top 100 songs from Christianrock.net only six actually said Jesus (which is more than Radio U [another Christian rock station] but they no longer have their top 100 list up but if I remember correct they only had two or three in the top one hundred say Jesus). With that being said there are still a few Christian bands that are openly Christian like Seventh Day Slumber, and Christian rap has a lot of rappers that unashamedly Christian.

:tsk:tskSomehow I just can't see myself "Rock 'n rolling" into heaven, and doing the "headbang"! If you listen to the music these days, it sounds like a love song to a boyfriend or girlfriend, just hinting that it might be a Christian song is if Jesus's name is MAYBE mentioned. Otherwise you assume it because you are listening to a Christian Radio station.
