Well if these "intellects" read the Bible, Jesus died sooner on the cross than expected...IN ORDER TO FULFILL PROPHECY. It was His life to lay down and His life to rise up. It was prophecied that none of His bones would be broken, so He gave up His spirit before the executioners were ordered to go break the legs of the three on the cross as it was a High Holy Day and it was unlawful to leave them on the cross on the Sabbath. They were AMAZED to find Jesus dead already and that is why they pierced His side. His legs, nor ANY of His bones were broken...just like what is specified for the sacraficial lamb prepared on Passover. :thumb Our God is SO awesome. Also, it was more unbearable than these "men" think because ALL THE SIN of the world was laid on Jesus and for the first time was seperated from His Father.

Exactly. Of course they have no comprehension of what this entails.

Besides, if they spent even one minute hanging on a cross as Jesus did, they would think that minute was an eternity. Fools.

dying on the cross wasn't so bad? :rolleyes Give me a break. It was a horrible orrdeal the Lord went through for mankind. Having your hands and feet nailed must be excruciating pain and last for a very long time.

What Jesus endured physically was torture and a painful way to die. However, the fact that He bore the sin of all of mankind before a Holy and Righteous God was the real pain of the crucifixtion. The atonement was His taking on the punishment that we all deserve. I challenge anyone to stand before the Father and take His judgement upon themselves and call it no big deal!
