Our life is so short yet full of so many events.

There our times in our life that we are so overcome with joy and some with sorrow. Sometimes we can't help but count our blessings and sometime we spend much time in prayer.

I think that it would be encouraging to share hymns and testimonys. Like, for example when I am fearfull a hymn called "how can I fear" is so comforting.

Maybe there is a story you would like to share and how a certain hymn became very dear to you durring that moment.

May this be very encouraging and edifying to all that partake of this thread.

The untitled hymn by Chris Rice with the words,"Come to Jesus" and "fly to Jesus", is special to me. My dad passed away in July of 2007, and they sang this song at his funeral. My dad was a good Bible based Christian. I strongly believe all is well and we will be in heaven together. I just have to add he's in a better place than I am right now.:thumb

Right now I am so uncertain of the future. I just can't see through this long dark tunnel (waiting and preparing stage) that I am in.

I have such a passion for missions and am so excited to go to the foreign field. I went on a short term mission trip to kenya Africa for three months and absoloutely loved every ministry I was blessed with.

In fact it was terribly hard for me to leave. I was working in a baby/toddler orphanage and got attached to them all. I love those children and miss them greatly, but the Lord wants me here.

And when I am alone in the dark on the streets waiting for the bus to take me where I need to go, I just have a really hard time dealing with fear.

I know that the Lord has not given to us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind. I also know that God is with me and will never leave me nor forsake me. How can I fear with Jesus?
