Ok, so we know that there will be a New World Order with a global economy and for discussion sake, we'll call the NWO "Mystery Babylon" as the epi-center of the global world empire that will soon be established.

Today, the basic thing for the world is money, which translates into materialism. When "Mystery Babylon" peaks at the mid to end part of the Tribulation we read in Rev 18:3-24 "For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the Earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the Earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies".

Note it says "All Nations."

My question then is this: If all nations are "drunk' with prosperity and material riches shouldn't we expect or be looking for an economic boom worldwide instead of a crash?
The world can't possibly be drunk with prosperity if the economy has crashed and everyone is poor, including the USA. Total collaps will happen at the end of the tribulation, where we read, Rev 18:9-19

All nations are not yet prosperous so it couldn't have happened already. Or maybe after a short crash and we are raptured the AC provides a short lived world-wide economic boom (which we will not be here for), which is why everyone worships the AC for the first 3 and a half years???

I'm thinking out-loud and just wondering about the possibilities.
Any thoughts????

I don't know, I wonder the same things as you. It's difficult not to read those verses and think of the U.S., it really is. Or it's a lot longer way off and involves things that we really can't put together yet. :idunno

I think, in order to bring about a one-world integrated economy, the economies of current nations will have to be brought to its knees. Look at the United States; how many of us would willingly give up our sovereignity to the NAU, or EU? Not very many.

We would, though, as a nation if we were facing complete extinction.

Ojibweindian, I agree with that. I believe in answer to the OP, national economic crashes will be the end of the Old World Order and will be a significant part of what ushers in the NWO. In the NWO, the whole world, or at least most of it, will be very prosperous .... but it will be even more of a shell than what we have now. It won't last long and won't need to.

That's not necessarily true. I think the kings & merchants referred here are the elite. The rich getting richer... Anyway, at some point 666 et al do away with the whore so its not the beast's kingdom.

Elitiest and Globalist thru history have used crisis's (economic,natural etc.) to get the masses to except new ideas and of ways of living. I believe that there will be major financial crisis's through out the world including the US and the AC will solve the problems. You tell me--what other crisis could get our or the worlds attention, and get the world especially the US to except 1 currency or 1 world government other than to have the dollar collapse. Why do you think the gov. is doing nothing to stop the fall of the dollar? (lowering interest rates is only insuring the demise of the dollar) Why would they do that? Because that is what the globalist want thats why! I have no doubts that our Lord is coming soon. The stage is already set.
