After switching on and getting to my desktop display screen this appeared:
"The exception unknown software exception (0x0eedfade) occurred in the application at location 0x7c812a5b". Does anyone know what it means and how do I go about finding the 'location 0x7c812a5b'???

From what I'm seeing this may be McAfee related....do you have that on your system?

No, I use Kaspersky. I had Skype installed and have since uninstalled it. I don't seem to have the problem anymore. I had updated the program and a couple of days ago without even being on it a message appeared saying that Skype had to shut down. I found it strange and today was when the "exception" message came up. Hopefully that was the problem. Thanks for the interest shown.
