Who do you think it is in regards to the Roger Clemens steroid situation?
Roger Clemens, or his former trainer, Brian McNamee.

McNamee sure comes across as an opportunist, self-seeking low-life to me, though I can't really pinpoint why.
I also strongly lean toward believing him :aha

I don't believe for an instant that Clemens is telling the truth, which is sad because he's going so far out of his way to convince people he's innocent, he's going to look pretty stupid when it's proved he did take steroids.
But hey, he could be telling the truth -- and if he is, I'd be the first to say I was wrong... but I seriously doubt it.

I do not like Roger Clemens. That point having been made I hope he is telling the truth.

I think Clemens did take steroids. McNamee's lawyer is saying he has bloody gauze pads and needles from Clemens' steroid use. Plus he says McNamee injected Clemen's wife with human growth hormones so she could get in shape for a photo shoot where she modeled in a bikini.
The fact is that steroids are much more beneficial to a pitcher than a batter. Steroids repair and build torn and fatigued muscles, allowing a pitcher to recover faster from an outing while adding a couple of miles per hour on their pitches. The batter does benefit from more strength which translates to faster bad speed and the ability to hit the ball further, but it does nothing to improve eye-hand coordination (either you have it or you don't). If a batter using steroids can hit the ball he will hit it further but a pitcher will always throw harder and be able to throw more pitches every time out. Pitchers benefit more.

I think its just so tiring and somewhat depressing that stories like this dominate the headlines in the sports world. I was sitting in my car this morning before work and was set to listen to some sports talk radio, and they just continued to drone on and on about the Clemens issue. It seems in this world now, corruption seeps into what should be a wholesome and clear pass time.

It looks like someone's going to need to have the wisdom of Solomon to try to figure out which person is lying and which person is telling the truth.

I believe Clemmons is lying.
