David Suzuki has called for political leaders to be thrown in jail for ignoring the science behind climate change.

At a Montreal conference last Thursday, the prominent scientist, broadcaster and Order of Canada recipient exhorted a packed house of 600 to hold politicians legally accountable for what he called an intergenerational crime. Though a spokesman said yesterday the call for imprisonment was not meant to be taken literally, Dr. Suzuki reportedly made similar remarks in an address at the University of Toronto last month. The proposal has lit up many conservative blogs since it was first reported by the McGill Daily on Monday.

Funny how they have exactly the same amount of proof for this new 'green' religion as they have for macroevolution.

I have been doing some research in all of this subject, although I have not come to any solid conclusions here are my initial reactions:

1) Global warming does exist which may or may not have been caused by humans. I suspect that we did have some impact, but it is mostly natural in occurance.

2) Carbon dioxide is not the issue in my opinion.

3) The real issue is not discussed which is ultraviolet radiation. Dangerous levels of UV radiation hits the earth through damaged ozone sectors thereby placing the foundation of life, photosynthesis, at risk.

4) The UV also affects other lifeforms in the form of cancer and other effects.

I am personally beginning to believe that many of end times events will be related to the ozone sheild and that the economy and this subject will be intertwined and the catalyst for upcoming scriptural prophetic events. It is a bold position to take, especially based on little information as compared to available economic data, but interesting things are falling into place.

This is as far as I will go with out going into tin hat territory, but it has really captured my interest. Keep this topic top of mind and make a neuro imprint of this subject. I expect with in the next few years some dramatic events will take place and some disturbing information regarding the above will be at the public's disposal.

30 years ago the ecology religion revolved around global COOLING.

Exactly. I still believe we have a UV radiation issue though, which is seperate from the whole false global warming agenda.

I am not worried, although I could say I have concern for others. I am watching and preparing...

well Im upset about it b/c I just started to sell a new line of ALL USDA organic make up and personal care products and cleaning products that are out of this world fantastic and the company I love b/c they are into sustainable farming which is healthier for all of us! But they donate some money to Suzuki's foundation...Ill have to see how much, but it makes me feel bad if I am supporting this guy with every sale. I feel like I cant even make a taint free living on this planet and this was so exciring for me b/c I am passionate about people being able to be healthy and getting toxins out of their bodies that contribute so much to illnesses. There are really NOT any companies that have a full range of truly organic products...they mislabel and LIE...I am so upset. :ohno

I do think we have wrecked our planet by dumping toxins into the system...we are killing off everything including ourselves...with so many harmful chemicals but there is the radical element of the environemnetal movements that wants to kill off anyone who hasnt gotten to their understanding or who has doubts about it. Companies are polluting us and its based on reckless greed and I think we should sue them....but Suzuki is geting into the thought police role and I cant support that.

I think we need to be good stewards of thsi earth and THINK about what we are putting in, ON and around our bodies b/c its all absorbed via the skin and our breathing....sadly all teh toxins have had a cumulative effect in teh environemnet in terms of their impact.....so, toxins introduced 20yrs ago are still causing devastation....

As afr as global warming goes..I think there coudl be some truth to it but I am dubious too..I think its more a means to control the population...
