Ok, we all know that. Simple little praise report, but for me this was awesome! I have been teaching for 10 years, and we have parent/teacher conferences this week. On the way to work, I prayed that the Holy Spirit would speak through me, and that God would allow me to witness to at least one family. Would you believe that in one day, I prayed with a student who just lost his grandfather, and I was able to talk about my faith with every parent who came to conferences?!?! Praise the Lord! Several parents asked me to be persistant in sharing my faith with students.:yeah Thank God for answering my prayers and keeping me in the public schools...right where He wants me and where the enemy is trying hardest to intervene.

ANd he did it again! Our last night of conferences, and I didn't just see the parents of the'good' kids. I saw the ones that I needed to see...the ones that God wanted me to see. Parents of drug addicts, abuse victims, kids with depression. They asked me to communicate with their kids and welcomed me to share my faith through my Facebook page if they will open up to me, which they do. The amazing thing is, I have not lost their respect as a teacher. We have a great rapport in the classroom, and late at night when they are depressed, at risk of making poor decisions, lonely, etc., I'm here to chat with them until the wee hours. I knew God made me an insomniac for a reason! I am currently chatting with two different kids (at this moment), and it's just an amazing blessing. It is so warming to hear parents thank me and tell me they will pray for me. As much as we may have problems in our public schools, I thank God for putting me there.
