My two year old son swallowed a penny last night while he and his five year old brother were in the bathtub. My oldest boy immediately got our attention and said that his brother was choking on money.
By the time we got to our 2 year old he had apparently already swallowed the money, but we could not tell if the penny was in his throat or en route to his digestive system. We took him to the emergency room, and upon getting his digestive system X-rayed the doctor discovered the penny in my sons belly.
Thank God that He gave my oldest boy the wherewithal to alert us so quickly, and we are especially grateful that the coin did not get lodged in Andrew’s throat.
Thank you Father for giving us one more day with both of our boys, the greatest blessings that You have bestowed on us. We know that we are not guaranteed our next breath, and we are thankful for every moment that you give us. In Jesus’ precious name Amen.
