Last night, my DIL lost her father. He was youngish, in his 50s, but had been quite ill for some time. Her parents were divorced several years ago because he was a child abuser and wife abuser. My DIL still has a lot of emotional scars. My son, her husband, lead her to the Lord. She's had a lot of questions for me and has shared with me a lot of her pain. She told me last year that she has forgiven her father. Late last year, her dad realized that his time on earth was coming to a close. Donya told him about what Jesus did for him and told him how to be saved. Thanks to the fact that Jesus saved her, lead her to forgive her dad and lead her father to share his fears with her, of dieing and going to hell and Jesus giving her the ability to share Christ with him, he woke up late last night in the arms of Jesus. Praise God that Rick will be in Jesus' presence for all of eternity and one day, my lovely DIL will join him and enjoy the kind of loving relationship with him that she has always desired.
