"The legislation would commit the U.S. to spending 0.7 percent of gross national product on foreign aid, which amounts to a phenomenal 13-year total of $845 billion over and above what the U.S. already spends. "

THIS is BAD!! This was brought up on Glenn Beck tonight. Apparently, back in 2000 Bush agreed to this act but didn't enact it. Now, Barak Obama sponsored it and got it pushed through the Senate on Foreign Relations.

Because of Bush's "agreement", we should have been paying $65B a year from 2002 forward to 2015.

This Global Poverty Act, is tied to the United Nations Millennium Declaration. Google it. In effect, one of the rules of the Millennium Declaration is that we are to abandon our small arms/weapons.:doh This also puts us in line for Kyoto.

I'm all for "change" but this is a bit extreme:panic. Most importantly, how are we supposed to pay for this, on top of everything else:idunno. I think this will be the nail in our coffin. Maybe the ultimate result of this "Act" is to bankrupt America:thinking

Glenn Beck reruns his show at 8:00 pm central time. I suggest if you have the chance to watch this interview

I watch Glen Beck's show today. The more I hear about Obama's agenda, the scarier it sounds.

Well, that makes perfect sense to me! When is Bono going to be singing?

I heard somewhere recently that U2 are involved with building some giant scryscraper in Belfast called, the U2 tower. I am touched by their modesty and self restraint. Message to the lead singer, B(Oh)(No): you are rich enough, please return the dentist's safety glasses and buy your own! And if you still haven't found what you're looking for, try:

"Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle [meek] and humble [lowly] in heart, and you will find rest [relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet] for your souls" Matthew 11:29

You too can find salvation!

I was listening to Glenn Beck's radio program one morning weeks ago and heard him say that he was suffering from an illness....internal bleeding......this is why he has to take days off from his television show regularly. He said the doctors are clueless as to what is causing it and Glenn said it was NOT from his most recent b*** surgery. But he said he's weak and can hardly climb stairs without feeling like he's going to pass out and without losing his breath. He's very depressed about it but they're working with doctors to find out what it is. I wasn't sure if you guys were aware of this but I was so surprised to hear him say it in the radio, and he was so depressed when he said it.

Or in this case, the UN taxes US citizens, therefore setting a precedent for the future.

Too bad our tax dollars would end up in the hands of the thugs running these poor countries and never go to help the poor themselves.

Then a few years later there will be an expose' on TV showing all the corruption and waste that we can get outraged about again, yet nothing will be done about it.
