Back in the early 1980's, she was the guitarist in a goth band called Christian Death, one of the pioneering bands in the genre. You can correctly infer from the band name that they made some fairly blasphemous music. Well, in 1994, Eva was researching the subject of angels for an album on spiritual warfare--from an occultic perspective. She realized she knew little to nothing of biblical angels. She read some book on them by Billy Graham, and ended up saved!:thumb

She was going to call her album Angels Fall For A Demon's Kiss, but changed it to Demon's Fall For an Angels Kiss. Some of the songs detail her experience accepting Jesus Christ as her saviour. And last year she released ****ation/Salvation: Are You Ready To Die?, which is more or less a gothic rock opera about her conversion to Christianity. The album begins with her dabbling in Satanism, includes her salvation, and ends with a warning to the unsaved about the Tribulation.

It's powerful. A warning though--she sure doesn't sugarcoat her experiences with the dark side. She couldn't release the album with a secular goth record label because they considered it too overtly Christian, and no Christian label wanted to touch it because the content is, well, brutally honest.

Anyway, I know some members here like harder and louder Christian music. This might interest you guys. As for the others (although this may not be your particular cup of tea), you will likely appreciate that God saved an influential person to a very dark community and COMPLETELY transformed her life!

Wow, never thought I would see Eva-O mentioned on this board. She does have a very interesting story. She does face criticism from both sides, Christian and non Christian which is a shame. I am sure there are many on this board who will strongly condemn her for her appearance and music but she is able to reach a section of society that no one here, me included, could hope to reach.
