Hello Marion and welcome, like yourself I am new to the site as well and it is good to be able to speak to one another and most of all encourage each other during the times we get discouraged. Maybe you are the only Christian in your family or none of your friends share your faith, this is very difficult for many people. I am a mother of four grown up children, eldest 40 and widowed and married again, second husband is not a Christian but a really good man and only one of my sons is born again so I too get despondent and because I have prayed for so many years for them I sometimes too feel like 'giving up', I get cross with the Lord and tell him so but because of his great love I 'know' he will answer eventually. My late beloved mother used to say that she must be in a queue and had to wait her turn. I encourage you to 'hold fast' we can all slip but he is there to pull you up again. Things will take a turn for the better so hold fast to the faith your trials are only for a short time.

Welcome to RR. Glad the Lord led you to us for He is doing wonderful things on this board. However, the best place for you to be in a 'crisis of faith' is your knees and in the Word. Renew your mind in the Word and receive refreshment to counter whatever circumstances are so heavy. Just as scripture forewarns, the days are getting darker, men's hearts have grown cold so we need to daily draw closer to our Lord and rest in Him.

You know every believer is in a spiritual battle, but praise God we serve the Commander of the Heavenly Host who has given us the Armor of God which we can pray over ourselves daily. The Armor aides us in standing strong against life's tumultous waters and keeps our hearts focused upon Christ and not our circumstances.

RR offers wonderful fellowship and many are on fire for Lord Jesus, and all of us experience trials and so, hopefully, one of us can offer you encouragment. :hug God bless you!
