I feel like there are many deep thinkers here and many who are not quick to dismiss somthing just b/c it doesnt line up with what they have been familiar with, but rather will tak ethe time to test it in light if scripture and in the same way apply the same dicernment with regard to religious leaders. So I woud very much liek to get your opinions on these articles. I have had concerns about this for some time and many of teh names mentiones here are names that many here revere and respect. I think we are living in times of great deceipt and its getting harder and harder to not be confused, just take the emergent church as an example. If we are not forewarned we may not understand the subtle changes that are occureing in our churches...we are more like frogs in a slowly heating pot of water. I value your opinions and thoughts.

I am interested in this stuff as I am just now reading One Book Stands Alone by Douglas Stauffer on the corruption of the new translations, including the NKJB. I have a feeling that this subject could cause no small uproar on this site so I am not willing to do any discussing of the matter. I do want to look over those sites you posted and I thank you for sharing them. If you are interested in knowing more, do get and read the above book because it is extremely eye opening and disturbing, especially to see how the doctrines we hold dear are being systematically destroyed, changed, manipulated and even flat out removed from the new versions by those who say they are only trying to update the language. Not true! They do have an agenda and those of us who are willing to look into are usually shocked to find out what has been going on while we have assumed they have been telling us the truth.

Sandy: Hey thanks so much! I am gonna be getting a Antioch bible that I know! Yes please look into that site b/c many revered prophecy leaders that many liek here are involved in some very disturbing groups and I wonder if they mean to do us harm. One wonders. The world is getting stranger than the best fiction and I think many who we have counted on will dissapoint in the coming days. If you read more about Missler, LahAye etc. let me know your thoughts. I think the folks there at that site are concerned about the Apostasy they see growing in the church and are pre-trib dispensationalist. But they are boldy calling people out on what they are doing behind the scenes and in public that the feel does not line up with scripture!

Seeking- I have read that whole long four part article by Al Dager on the new "Evangelicalism", all started by Harriet Mears and Campus Crusade in the 1950's:fear. THAT made my hair stand on end, as I see how this is all leading to the One World Church and religion:tsk! Would you PM me please with the prophecy teachers you are concerned about and the sites I can read this information on?

BTW, I do NOT agree with those Christians who promote TBN and their ilk. I have personally emailed one person in particular with my concerns about such an affiliation:ohno, as what TBN stands for has nothing to do with the real Jesus Christ of the New Testament and His gospel IMO.

I just came out of a situation where Bible version controversy ripped through the fellowship. The aftermath was quite devastating. Sincere Christians began doubting their chosen translation. There was much anxiety and frustration over the whole issue. God promised to preserve his Word. I believe that it's the content and not necessarily the nuances of a particular language or translation that are important. It is after all the Holy Spirit that leads us as we study God's Word. I don't deny that there have been translations that have been manipulated to undermine or twist a sound doctrine. I think that these have already been marked by the wider Christian community. I've found for myself that there have been different translations that have met my needs at that particular time.

Well I missed that controversy. This is the first i have heard of any thing so blatant liek Omissions. I dont know that much about it so I cant say. I agree that God has preseved his word but that doesnt mean that a publisher out there cant take imp. words out and print. Gods Word is still out there but perhaps its getting harder to find? I dunno. I have all the "bad translations" I think accoording to this.....But I still got the message.....

But am interested in hearing perspectives on these articles and really what teh site has to say in general...I havent read everything but I havent run across anything that would be off.

Not hard for me to believe man can mess up a translation.

Its a good idea to but bibles next to each other in study.

I've been reading those links above, and it doesn't surprise me that the masonic and apostate stuff that has tried to creep into religion for 2000 years either is still trying or has effectively started to take root.

The Hitler stuff is horrific. But what is going on now........and who is doing it..... :ohno
