Did anyone catch the Dove awards last night?
I know Brandon Heath won New Artist
Natalie Grant won Female Vocalist
Toby Mac won Male Vocalist
Casting Crowns won for Group of the Year
I didn't catch the rest because I kept switching back & forth between the NBA playoffs and watching Joel Rosenberg on Glenn Beck.
I was wondering who some of the other winners were? :)

Chris Tomlin won something... I just can't remember what.
I was really impressed by him. He seemed really humble and unsure of what to do with all the fanfare.
I was not impressed w/ David Crowder. I felt his performance was just showy, and not worshipful at all.... :(

Chris Tomlin won Male Vocalist. I was wrong about Toby Mac - he won Artist of the Year, not Male Vocalist. :)

Dove award for Nebraskans' musical 'icing on the cake'
BY NIZ PROSKOCIL
WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER
A musical about rocks has earned two Nebraska women some brass.
Gina Boe of Hickman and Barb Dorn of Cortland were honored Wednesday night at the Gospel Music Association's 39th annual Dove Awards, which celebrate the best in Christian music.
Winners in the Youth/Children's Musical of the Year category, the two musicians returned home from the awards show in Nashville, Tenn., with brass statuettes of a dove for the musical "Praise Rocks!"
They created the musical two years ago for First Evangelical Free Church in Lincoln, where Boe is worship director and Dorn is pianist with the worship team.

I thought Chris Tomlin would come out on top for sure. He won 8 Doves last year and 6 the year before that. I wish he won more, but it seems that they've tended to the more secular, watered-down side given what I've heard on the radio.
Not sure why "How Great is Our God" won, given the fact it came out like three or four years ago, and won a lot at that point as well.
