My name is Darrell and recently re-read The Hiding place and Tramp for the Lord. I received many life lessons from both books. I believe that God communicated to me using his Holy Spirit throught out the two books. I can see that Jesus's words about forgiving your enemy were put into actions especially by Corrie ten Boom sister Betsie. When the Nazi were treating them as trash, Betsie ten Boom felt compasion and prayed for them instead of responding by being angry and hateful as most people would do.-- I'm interested in learning about prophecy and the upcoming rapture. Recently, I felt that the pre-trib rapture is going to happen soon. One of my christian friends about 5 months ago provided me with some material dealing with the book of Revelations. This strengthned me toward a more firm belief in the pre trib Church rapture. Things are about ready to happen in Israel and I watch the news concerning Israel every day. I guess we will just have to wait and see. I also have come to believe that we're living in the Lacodicean church age and the message from the Lord is; that their lukewarm and he will spit them out of his mouth. I then, take this to be, like the story of the 10 virgins in Matthew with half of them not being prepared with oil (Holy Spirit) . If what I'm understanding this to be all about, we as Christians need to be ready with out lamps filled so when he calls for us, we will be accepted for the rapture and not be left behind as half of the 10 virgins in Matthew were. I don't know if you see the correlation of what I'm saying or not. Hopefully we will be ready!! Best to all of you. my favorite verse is Acts 4:12

Welcome to RR, Darrell! :hug

Your post brought back a wonderful memory for me. I was very young and had just read Corrie ten Boom's "The Hiding Place". Then she came to our city and I actually got to see her! She was already quite elderly and she sat on a simple wood chair with all of us kids on the floor around her. She said simple things for us but what I remember most was the (((amazing spirit))) in this dear, humble, beautiful woman. I wanted to just drink her in and *nestle* with her. I was so sad when she died. But she is with Jesus Whom she loves sooo much and with her Papa, Betsie and her mother...and even with that Nazi whom she got to lead to the Lord! :yeah
