Feb. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks advanced on speculation New York-based Ambac Financial Group Inc. will get new capital to salvage its AAA credit rating, averting further writedowns for global financial companies.

I think it means they've put one finger in the dike until two more holes burst in its place :heh

I think there is a behind the scenes deal going on. Better that Ambac split off it's municipal bonds (which are money makers) & go bankrupt on it's property backed loans.

Or eliminate the need to insure muni bonds at all.
