Hello everyone here on Rapture Ready--:hat--I joined the board back in December[2007], and thought I had stopped in and posted a note here in New Members, but I couldn't find one just now when I doubled-checked on that--so, I thought I'd better do that right now--
--my name is Christie, and I am a born again believer in Christ, and have been since 1975--I'm also a baptised Lutheran LCMS[Lutheran Church Missouri Synod]--
--I am a mother of two sons[one of which was killed while fighting in Afghanistan on July 17, 2006, with the 10th Mountain Division], and grandmother of 4, who has been married to my dear, 'one and only', for over 37 years now--we are a retired military family, who are a semi-civilian-job-retired couple, as well--who live 'quietly' with our 3 dogs, and 'umpteen' cats, most of which are rescues--who both wish we lived nearer to our grandchildren so we could visit with them far more often these days--
--I have been posting to a couple of other boards on the 'net for the last few years, one of which dealt with mostly politics[:ohno], and the other dealt mostly with current events, and Christian eschatology, etc.,[:candle], both of which I resigned from in the last few days, mostly due to 'contention fatigue'[:preach:doh]--
--I am finally in such a need for a rest from so much struggle, at least for awhile, anyway:)--I felt that it's just time for me to slow things down, and rest in the Lord for a short time anyway, to 'recharge' my 'batteries', so to speak--
--so, now, hopefully, I will have more time to come here, and read and post notes if I feel I have something I might contribute to any discussion--so, it's nice to be here, and hope to 'see' you all around the board in the days to come, God willing always[Amen]:)
