I don't think, so much, that the earthquakes are increasing because the IRIS maps are not showing that many more each day in the usual places. What I think is notable is that they are occurring in places where they don't usually occur. Everyone pays attention to the plates and the activity around them. But, have you been noticing that the fault along the Mississippi River is active in western Tennessee? That's not something that I've been noticing until recently (the past few weeks). Is it getting ready to go? It's overdue. The Juan DeFuca fault to the west of Oregon has been quiet. That's an area under high pressure and a nasty zig-zag fault. I would think that with it being quiet for so long, something big is brewing there and when it slips it will be disasterous. Then there's the activity in North East Nevada. All the quakes are over top of each other which means, to me, that the initial quakes have not released the pressure OR the pressure is constantly building (unusual for the area as it is not a fault). Is the magma chamber building pressure to the point where it will blow? If so, look out!!! The quake in England was originally listed as a 4.7, today it's upgraded to more than 5. What's there that's building pressure? Unusual places for quakes - diverse places. I believe that God is talking. How many of us are listening?

i dont think it was magma that caused the nevade quake... thats a relatively seismicly active area anywhere you have mountains weather there volcanic or not there is a chance for a quake because of the pressures involved in pushing that mountain skyward, tectonic pressure not magmatic... to determine if there is magma building up or on the move would require a harmonic signature on the seismograph
