wooow never thought of that lol, at 747 trillion dollars even if we stopped all funding of every single government agency and social program and foreighn aid it will still take 350 plus years... at our current budget... even if our GDP was somehow cashed in it still take 30 years of continuous cashing in of the GDP to pay off
163 United States $ -747,100,000,000 2007 est

Is this $747 billion figure calculated by subtracting liabilities from assets?

Actually, that is -747 billion .... it is just for 2007. The US loses about 2 billion per day, 7 days per week.
The US has been a debtor nation (borrowing from other nations) for about 15 years.
Me thinks that the rest of the world is beginning to grow weary of supporting our lifestyle.

For being poor...we sure have a lot of people here who are spoiled rotten! True ... and it's mostly off of debt. That is a part of the sad thing here ..... when folks can no longer fund their lifestyle off of debt and have to use cash, they will be shocked at how little they can get without waiting. Spoiled folk can't wait. I think a lot of society will blow it's stack when the goodies are withheld.

I was born and raised in orlando...but we moved to south florida (pembroke pines) almost 2 years ago....and I have never seen so many rich people..if you go to the beach, there is house after house that is worth at least a couple million....some people pay about 6000 a month on a condo by the beach....if you go to Davie and Cooper City...you can find million dollar homes there...If you go way to the west by the everglades...there are million dollar homes....and I can name a bunch more places...I didn't realize that there were so many people here that have lots of money...and the boats...so when I read this stuff....it's just so hard for me to believe....and the fact that we can go to walmart and buy a pair of jeans for a reasonable price....when I think of poor....I remember the cruises to Mexico...where the little children would skip school to beg bare-footed for food and money....that is poor to me...
