moving question...

we are moving to our very own house and I have a stupid question...

I have florida power...and I will switch it to our new address....but do i call to set up my utilities (water...garbage...etc.) before we can have water...etc?
i noticed pembroke pines has their own utilities place....in orlando...at my mil and fil's house they had ouc...that was both electric and utilities....so I'm so confused....

Why not call customer service at your utility company, explain your question/situation, and let them tell you how to procede.

Your utility bill should have a number you can call to reach them, or look in your yellow pages, or maybe they even have an FAQ section on-line.

Our closing date is either the 7th or 14th....so I don't want to call them until we are moving in....I was wondering how it works....I don't know why I didn't think to call them....:doh
