Seriously, where do they come up with this mumbo jumbo?? :puke
I honestly do not know if Oprah is well meaning but totally blind to what she is buying into or if she is subtly but maliciously trying to bring this to the world (her followers) b/c of her status as an icon. :tsk

I Don't trust anyone on TV anymore. Most of them have exalted themselves or exalted by others to a god-like status. Oprah's following is proof enough.

You are right, I think. Oprah has actually become a god of sorts-at least it appears that way. I can see how a person can get to that point when they have so much money/power...that explains it but it doesn't excuse it.
What I can't understand is the millions of women who worship this god. You know, I have to believe these women have NO basic understanding of the Bible. So, why not? I'll bet most of them would claim to be Christian if we asked them. To me, a very definite finger of guilt is aimed in the direction of the pastors and ministers in this country. WHERE ARE THEY????? :idunno

Wow I did not know flowers held so much power. Also I laughed out loud when they talked about the silent sermon by looking at a flower. I hope it was a quick sermon!!! As a new Christian going on a little over a year now it amazes me people are so quick to dismiss the bible, but will run head over heels to something that is new and very vague. If they put as much time into the Bible then this new age stuff they would see that the bible has all the answers and then some!!!!

I couldn't sit through long enough to finish reading that garbage.
Earthly wise and spiritually ignorant.
Someone needs to tell Oprah that what’s new is not true, and what’s true is not new. :ohno

This is why we, as christains, need to redouble our efforts to reach out to people and bring them the true word of God. They are in dire need of something to hang their faith on and will do so with anything that strikes their fancy since they do not know the truth of the word of God. How much better it would be if we could reach some of them and give them something real to believe in instead of this new age psychobabble.
There is a saying that says "if you don't believe in something you will fall for anything". Apparently the people who have bought into this pile of delusional droppings are indeed searching for something to give meaning to their lives. We know it is not possible to reach all of them since many have hardened their hearts against anything to do with the one true God. But wouldn't it be wonderful if more of us would make an effort to bring them the truth and save as many as possible.
You say "I cannot do that, I am too shy, or I don't know how to approach someone I don't know. But there is a way for you to help anyway. PRAY for them. There have been double blind studies that have shown with scientific certainty that patients suffering from some injury or illness who are prayed for fare better than those who are not prayed for. So even if you are not a person who is capable of open witnessing to strangers you can still make a difference through PRAYER.
