Why are there ads appearing in the threads?

Lately, there have been ads appearing just underneath the initial threads of posts. They didn't use to be there, but they are now. Is there any way Todd or somebody could get rid of those ads?

The ads on the forum are an effort to help support the forum financially. As Todd mentioned in another thread, the RR forum costs about $300 per month and that can really add up after a while. IMO, this one is questionable too. Seems to have too much emphasis on the extra-Biblical teachings of the early church fathers.
