John McCain, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton all promise massive new regulations that will cost trillions of dollars to combat global warming. McCain says that it will be his first task if he wins the presidency. After consulting with Al Gore, Obama feels the problem is so imminent that it is not even really possible to wait until he becomes president.

Ironically, this political unanimity is occurring as global temperatures have been cooling dramatically over the last decade.

When I was a teen (many years ago), the environmentalists and scientists were screaming that we were going into another ice age. They blamed it on all of the blacktop parking lots. (Rediculous, no?) When I was in college in the late 70's studying science (my major was biology), my professors told us that we were coming out of the last ice age and heading into a warming cycle. That the world runs on cooling and warming cycles. The indepth explanation provided made excellent sense to me. I put no stock in the Al Gore minions shouting about global warming and carbon footprints...how idiotic. Yes, there is no question that the world warmed up but so did the other planets and man is not on them. Now we are cooling down (I'm sure old Al will claim its the result of all those carbon footprint things he sold). The sun cycles cause our temperature cycles. It's as simple as that.

Now the ozone layer is another thing. The problem with that one could very well be exaserbated by man.
