I'm not technically from PA, I'm from MD but I love the CHAP convention! :yay Are any of you going to be there?

I am very excited to hear Dianne Craft's workshops. :yeah

Where is it at in Pennsylvania? I am in Northeast Ohio, about 20 minutes from the PA border....if it's close enough, I might be interested in going!

It's in Harrisburg. I know alot of people come both days and get a hotel room.

We go every year. Usually we make it a mini family vacation. We take our camper, leave on Thursday and come back on Tuesday, because we take in some of the historical sites on that end of the state, and visit with family for Mother's Day.

This year will be different: DH has a new job with less than half the vacation time he had before, and our Suburban is not running right now, so we can't tow the camper.

I will need to go out, but I think I will make it a day trip with the kids. DH and I are still talking over the different possibilities. He really wants to join me, but I don't see how that will work right now. The kids and I could also spend Thursday night at the ABWE mission house for much less than a hotel (I think last year our friends stayed for $10/night), because we have a friend that works in the administrative head quarters.

It is such a good time of refreshment - the speakers are so encouraging. I also love to interact with all the other home schoolers. Nice to know others from RR are going too!

I am thinking on it. I pad for it but am now having second thoughts. I am bringing my 5 mo. old baby boy, my 2 yr. old dd and my oldest who is 16 offered to come as my mama's helper but I am just worried I won't be able to focus. And as of right now I don't have anyone to ride with from my area so...well, I am not sure??
