Okay, not ready to say a sinner has come home yet...callit a stand-up double :) WOndering if I should have tried to stretch it to a triple, but realizing that the Lord was leading, and he's heard me talk before.
Anyway, my friend I told you about who is so heavily into science and I were talking on the phone about the election and environment and the like, and I did what I usually do, when he mentioned that the droughts in his area, etc. would likely become common, I throw a morsel in there about how the Bible talks about such things as famine, men scorched with heat, etc....
He asked how close I thought the end times were - and we talked about it for maybe 5 minutes! :yeah And, he seemed real quiet at the end of that part when I said it's definitely something to think and pray about (inserting prayer because it's an indication of God at work - I know the Spirit is working in him). Like he would think about it.
Folks, keep praying. I thought afterward about a couple places where I could have pushed, as I say, trying to stretch a double into a triple, but didn't want to chance getting thrown out. (For instance, he asked what I thought the chances were that the end times could come in the next 10 years - I only said rather likely, because things *could* slow down - it was this bad before WW II after all, but then when asked "20 years" I said very likely, and put that at 90%.)
I also mentioned the Rapture as being one of the possible signs of it being a sure thing that we're in the end times - but again, didn't push it, not feeling led to push that point; if he'd asked about the rapture, then I would have.
