He went to A chinese Christain gathering liong time ago, but had a bad exp. Here in the states. I just sent him a chinese Bible but i want to send him web links to sites that are good for thsoe with a scientific mind....any ideas? Pray for him and his family. He was wondering and asking qws... when I last saw him a year ago...I hope HE still is....pray for me to say the right thing!
I may want to try to put him intouch with those here that speak his language...in case he needs to ask or hear and answer in HIS own language!!!THANKS!:pray:hat

This is one of the better ones for reaching someone coming from a Scientific background, IMO.

If he has internet, have him check this out....you check it out first, of course. Someone directed me to it just yesterday and I thought, "I wished I knew someone who is Chinese to share this with".
I thought it was wonderful and I don't know any Chinese. I think for someone who knows Chinese, this could be astounding.

I have *scientific types* in my life too. I'm getting several copies of Dr. Chuck Missler's "Prophecy 20/20" to send to them. It's scientifically-heavy (physics, technology) with strong prophecy, which I think is a great witnessing tool as it tells the future before it happens - and we know only God can do that!
www.khouse.org is the website.
God bless you and God bless this man to salvation! :pray

Don't forget regular ole one on one speaking! To the heart, to the point, leading them to Christ alone.
I am a scientific type and none of those particular reasonings ever meant much to me. Maybe they do to this man, but you know that better than anyone else. Lots of good information given in this thread. :thumb

I have read the original arguments, and I would caution its use though, because as Samuel Ling points out:
http://www.chinahorizon.org/theauthorvoice/051100AStrongerMessenger.doc
We must not forget that God has revealed himself through (a) the things which were created, and (b) his work in human hearts. This is general revelation. Man’s culture, art, philosophy and religion is NOT general revelation; they are man’s response to God’s revelation, subject to error and idol-building! We, in our benevolence, often say that God has revealed himself to the Chinese people through Chinese-language characters, and ideas in Confucius and Lao Tzu. Nothing can be more dangerous than this: the implications are enormous, for accommodation, syncretism, and paganization of the church in China.

Joel

the best approach is the direct approach.providing documented facts that God and Jesus exist, about mankind's inherent sinfulness and the need for a savior.it is important that God loves us so much and sent his only begotten son to die and take the punishment that is due to each and everyone of us,about God's justice, holyness and great love and warn against the wiles of satan and how he strikes and plays with our minds.many things to talk about but a person wiser than i am can make it fairly short.
