I really like listening to Perry Stone and I did a little research and found out that his background is Church of God which is Pentecostal. Reading their statement of beliefs they state that speaking in tongues is the sign of the Holy Spirit after baptism. I disagree with this. I'm kind of turned off.
Should I continue to listen to him? Was just wanting some opinions about this.

Listen to him with discernment, as we should do with every messenger.

I have the same problem with lovingugod, but his prophecy is absolutely fantastic!

i have heard him preach non-prophetic stuff and i have heard him preach prophetic stuff both...(mostly prophetic though)...and it is weird, but it seems like he is almost two different preachers...

i have a difficult time listening to his non-prophetic stuff (maybe it is his style--not sure) but i cannot get enough of his prophetic teachings. its almost like he transforms into someone new when he talks about and preaches about prophecy...

he is very, very gifted with wisdom and insight when it comes to prophecy and tying hebrew customs, OT, NT, and end times together--it is amazing--and awesome--resonates very well with my spirit---i have not listened to anyone else who possesses this kind of insight--and i listen to many who i put in the awesome category...

I love to hear him teach on the prophetic stuff because he is so well-researched on events and what's behind the scenes, and seems like an endless source of knowledge at times.

Whenever he speaks on other subjects or just preaches, I usually don't watch because it just doesn't have the same impact/revelation. He is definitely graced as an end-times resource and I think he's about the best there is.

If you get the chance, catch his Iraq video or buy the book.
