While Jesus was on earth, He summed up the commandments into these 2.
Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, mind and soul.
Love your neighbor as yourself.
This is what is required of us.
Do you live by Grace?
or
Do you live by the law?
What actually constitutes keeping the Sabbath Holy?
do's and dont's?
Should we not exalt the Lord every day? Everyday is a gift from God.
Mark 2:27
And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

Romans 14
1Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
2For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
3Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
4Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
5One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
7For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
8For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
9For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
10But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
14I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
16Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
17For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
18For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
20For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
21It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
22Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
23And he that doubteth is d a m ned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
This is what the bible has to say about this subject.
So, I say if they want to esteem Saturday, then so be it. If they do so in faith, what can we say against it? For we would now be saying against the Word.
Paul then contradicts himself if he is speaking about one of the ten commandments. If one is obsolete, are they not all?
God's holy law is like a mirror in which we see ourselves as sinners. It is that law that brings us to Jesus to ask forgiveness. Without that law, there is no sin.
Romas 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law.
And:
“For whoever shall keep the whole Law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.” (James 2:10)
Rom 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Romans 3:5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?
7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose ****ation is just.
Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Romans 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

Please read the commandments in Exodus 20.
Love the Lord and your neighbor as yourself is a synopsis of the ten. The first four deal with our love toward God, the last six with our love toward our neighbor.
As for Mark 2:27? I don't understand how this could mean God no longer wants it in HIS ten commandments. Indeed, it was made for us to rest and remember what God has wrought in six days.
Every day should be used to praise God and worship HIM. But, the fourth commandment asks a little extra. Or, so I read and understand it.

I did not say the commandments are obsolete, they show us our sin and need for our Saviour.

I am delighted that in Christ, our Lord, you keep the commandments. As do I.
Without HIM, we can do nothing.

Keep the sabbath, but it's not a matter of salvation like the SDA church says it is.

Keeping the commandments is a matter of salvation. Because not keeping them makes us sinners as sin is the transgression of the law and sin keeps us out of heaven. It is really very simple.

Sin keeps us from God, but His forgiveness is sufficient, not by our works lest we boast.

That is why Jesus died on the cross, He knew we could never keep them, and that is why we need a saviour.
I cant keep all the ten commandments all the time. I fail. I need the Grace of God to hold me up.
No one is without sin.
The only thing that makes a difference is this: are we washed in the blood, are we covered by His righteousness?

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. He who says he is without sin is a liar.
I sin. Unfortunately daily. It is impossible to keep all of the commandments at all times. If it were, then Jesus' death would not have been necessary because some would have been 'good enough.' This just makes me so much more grateful for the grace and mercy I have recieved. I am unworthy, yet He died for me.
