“For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect,” Matthew 24:24.

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables,

II Timothy 4:3,4.

“Dear children, the last hour is here.

You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared.

From this we know that the end of the world has come,” I John 2:18.

It’s happening right now, a falling away from the faith of Jesus Christ on a grandiose scale.

Jesus, Paul, John all taught about it and now it's happening right before our very eyes.

As John wrote in his first epistle, this falling away was already happening.

In the Greek the word for falling away is apostasia.

Apostasia is to fall away, to defect, and it’s speaking of defecting from the one true Gospel, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Instead of holding fast to the faith of the doctrine of Jesus Christ, many are following false teachers.

The following excerpt is from a Lighthouse Trails newsletter, an online publication I receive on a weekly basis. http://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/

There are two ground swelling, pervasive movements steeped in occultism, and mysticism happening here in the U.S. and abroad.

They go by terms such as New Age, and the Emergent Church , or the Emerging Church .

Its leaders are young, energetic, men and women who profess to know Christ,

but who are in actuality leading millions away from the cross through mysticism and contemplative spirituality.

There is no turning back in the advancement of mysticism in the United States and the Western world.

Now the green light is on for the average person.

Meditation has lost its connotation as being silly nonsense

for the secular person and suspicious for the Christian.

Alice Bailey the occultist who coined the term New Age,

expressed the goal for meditation to find its way in the mass education.

This goal has finally been fulfilled. And if more dramatic elements of Bailey's prophecies are fulfilled next on the horizon such as the revelation of the Coming One,

then this information is of vital importance to every Christian who cares about those around him or her.

In her book “From Intellect to Intuition”, Bailey states:

“The education and reorientation of the advanced human being [one who sees himself as divine] must find its place in our mass education."

She doesn't mean the public school system but the media outlets of society in general.

She adds: "Meditation.

The question naturally arises: 'Is that all?'

And the answer is:

'Yes.' ... If meditation is rightly followed, and if perseverance is the key note of the life, then increasingly, soul [the divine self] contact is established....

The results of that contact work-out in self-discipline, in purification, and in the life of aspiration and of service.’ (p. 61)”

In other words once you hook up with your higher self through meditation, then your role becomes that of meditation evangelist to get others involved.

When it comes to the Emerging Church and New Age,

Christian leaders seem to lack the understanding and discernment needed to defeat these false doctrines before they even get started.

Some books and several articles have now been written about the emerging church, and interestingly,

nearly all of them lack the most important element-the emerging church

(which incorporates the teachings of the Emergent leaders such as

Brian McLaren

Doug Pagitt

Dan Kimball

Rob Bell
etc.)

is a conduit for mysticism and is heading right into the arms of Catholicism and eventually a universal interfaith church.

Some of us are amazed by any spiritual power that is real, without carefully thinking that

real power may have a demonic source instead of a Godly source.

And even if a psychic or new age power seems to feel right,

we must not be seduced by it because demonic powers can come masquerading as angels of light,

“For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers,

transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Therefore [it is] no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works,” 2 Corinthians 11: 13, 15.

But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse:

Evil men refers to the obvious, open enemies of Jesus;

impostors refers to those who “look” fine, and many think of as fine,

but they are actually destructive forces among Jesus’ followers.

Motives are important, but we can sometimes place too much importance on them.

Much harm has been done by people who were sincerely deceived and who tried to do wrong things out of wonderful motives –

and because others look at their wonderful hearts, they accept their dangerous deceptions.

We can’t always go only by motives in others;

we must measure them also by the truth.

New Age has been around for some time now,

but this Emergent Church is a fairly current phenomena.

Both are leading people away from the truth.

If you think this new phenomena is going away any time soon, think again.

It’s here for the duration, and it’s spreading like wild fire.

It’s estimated that there are more than forty million adherents to the Emergent Church

right here in the United States that practice some form of contemplative spirituality.

For the most part they’ve turned away from the truth of the Bible and are actually saying that Jesus Christ isn’t the only way to Heaven,

that there are many different paths that lead to Heaven.

Here’s what I see happening in our culture today.

We have had the same Gospel for approximately two-thousand years now

and it has worked fine. Many have come to know the Lord through the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Multitudes have placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as their savior, and have done so in every country on earth.

But these new young leaders of the Emergent movement are now saying it isn’t enough to preach the Gospel of Christ.

They say: “The young people nowadays want and deserve more.”

We need to ask ourselves why.

They say that the younger generation wants to be more spiritual than their parents,

more in tune with the spirits that surround them.

They’re being taught that they can clear their minds and open themselves to allow spirit guides in that will lead them on to new and different paths of spirituality.

This sounds like hogwash to me; I can’t think of a better way to describe this “new” spirituality.

Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life; He is all we need to get to Heaven. The Bible tells us our salvation is through belief and confession,

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved,”

Romans 10:9. God gave us everything we needed when we became born again.

We don’t need this new mysticism,

or any spirit guides to guide us into an ultimate closeness with our Lord Jesus.

As a matter of fact, if we open our minds and allow a spirit guide to direct us,

it will more than likely be a demon that we will be allowing to enter our minds and be our guide.

I can guarantee you that a demon isn’t going to lead you to Jesus Christ,

but he will lead you to Hell if you allow him a place in your mind.

We must be very careful; always reading and studying the word of God so we can be a discerning Christian.

This way we won’t be swept along by these false teachings like so many nowadays.

“But there were false prophets also among the people,

even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies,

even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction,”

2 Peter 2:1.

We must imitate the Bereans who searched the scriptures daily to see if what Paul and Silas were teaching them was actually the truth or a falsehood. (Acts 17:11)

We must look, listen, and be aware of false teachings even in our own Churches.

This great falling away that is spoken of by Paul the Apostle in

2 Timothy 2:3 is no longer silently creeping into our congregations but is now roaring in like a lion.

The pervasiveness of false teachings is quite alarming as these false teachings invade the Christian church in our society today.

We must be ready for any red flags that get raised in our presence.

For example, if your pastor starts to speak of finding that silent place in your mind where you can go and seek God’s presence, this could be a red flag.

For the most part we love our pastors and don’t believe that they could lead us astray.

Be careful; all pastors are human with human sinful faults and anyone can be lead astray by these false teachings, especially if they lack discernment.

The Word of God doesn’t admonish us to seek a silent place in our minds while mouthing some inane mantra over and over again.

This allows a spirit guide to invade our minds and control us as he is supposedly moving us ever so much closer to God.

This is not Biblical. God is always available no matter when and no matter where we are.

He’s always ready to listen to His children’s prayers. As we retreat to our prayer closet where it is quiet,

He is there. If we are in rush hour traffic with all the noisy automobile horns going off in disharmony, God’s there listening to our prayers.

There are many more false teachings that can be addressed that are leading many into the prophesied end times apostasy of the Church.

We know that false teachers will do whatever they can to twist scriptures to fit their agendas.

For example, women pastors are not Biblical.

You won’t find one woman pastor in any of the sixty-six books of the Bible.

Yet there are many Churches today which boast of a woman as senior pastor or associate pastor. This should not be so.

You might say “Well no man has stepped forward to pastor our Church consequently we’ve accepted a woman and she does a great job.”

If no man steps forward then keep searching he’s out there.

God doesn’t allow a woman to teach a man or to usurp authority over a man.

“But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man,”

1Timothy 2:12.

I’ve heard of women pastors who actually state publicly that in the Greek this verse in Timothy is referring to husbands and wives.

This is not the correct scriptural interpretation of this Greek word.

The word used here, as it’s used in every other place in The New Testament, refers to men and women in the Church,

not husbands and wives in the Church.

Again we must look to the whole counsel of God’s Word.

Still others say it was a cultural thing only associated with the early Church.

I say read Paul’s words to his protégé Timothy.

“For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression,”

1Timothy 2:13, 14.

If Paul was speaking of a cultural situation he wouldn’t have gone clear back to the book of Genesis and the time of Adam and Eve. No.

God doesn’t allow a woman to preach to or teach men.

Women do have a place in the Church; as a matter of fact they are indispensable.

Women have many callings and for the most part they fulfill them wonderfully.

They teach woman’s Bible studies, they run the day care, they play instruments, they sing in the choir, and they have many other responsibilities.

But they are not to usurp authority over or teach men. Period.

The Bible doesn’t set a man over a woman because he’s more intelligent or anything like that; it's God’s ordained sequence of His structure, not man's.

Other false teachings that lead to this same end times apostasy

of the Church are works doctrines that get added in

by some misinformed individuals to help with your salvation.

It is an abomination to God to add anything to what He accomplished on the cross.

If your Church organization tells you that you must be baptized to be saved, this is a falsehood.

Baptism is very important, but it isn’t a salvation issue.

Also, if you are told you must stand before the congregation

and confess your sins right there in public for you to be saved, this too is a falsehood.

The only One you need to confess your sins to is God Almighty.

Some mainstream denominations claim you must speak in tongues to be born again.

This too is a false doctrine.

Nowhere in the Bible are we told that only by speaking in tongues can we be saved.

Nowhere.

How can we, being human,

do anything to physically facilitate our own salvation?

We can’t.

Jesus Christ paid it all.

Jesus being our perfect God willingly died on the cross at Calvary to pay in full the payment required for the complete elimination of our sin.

All we need to do to obtain God’s free gift of salvation is accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ as truth, repent of our sins, ask Jesus to come into our lives, and start living for Him.

False teaching, false religions, works added to the sufficiency of the cross are all abominations to God.

Our God is a jealous God.

Don’t try to subvert His word or twist it to achieve your own desired results.

All those religions which have denied the deity of Jesus Christ are abominations to God.

All teachings that would put any person born of a human mother and human father on an equal basis with Jesus Christ are abominations to God.

Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah born of the Virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit.

He has no equal.

He isn’t the brother of Lucifer.

His mother Mary isn’t a co-redemptrix.

She isn’t to be worshipped.

Jesus Christ is our Creator God.

He is the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the Almighty.

If you will believe that fact,

which is stated over and over again in the Word of God,

you won’t get led astray by false teachings.

If you believe that the Bible is God breathed, you’ll know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Romans 10:9-10. Should we add anything or take anything away from the truth stated above?

Absolutely not.

What Paul is explaining to us in these verses is the simplicity of the doctrine of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is God; that’s a fact.

His Gospel is true and that’s a fact.

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

1Corinthians 15:3, 4. Paul also tells us in the next couple of verses that Jesus was seen by Peter, and over five hundred others, then by James and the Apostles and lastly by Paul himself.

All this after His resurrection from the grave.

This is an undeniable fact and this is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Believe it and the great apostasy that’s coming like a freight train upon the Church will not affect you. Reject it and get ready to be derailed.

God bless you all,

In the Greek the word for falling away is apostasia.

Apostasia is to fall away, to defect, and it’s speaking of defecting from the one true Gospel, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Nope. The greek word for falling away is parapipto. Apostasia is departure.

The verb form means to depart. Paul uses it in 1 Tim 4:1

(1 Tim 4:1) Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
Apostesontai - future middle indicative form of 'to depart'

That 'from the faith' is not a part of that word. The phrase is "apostesontai tines tes pisteos". It actually says "Some of the faith will depart..."

I'm a little puzzled by all this uproar of the "emergent church" - whatever that is.

Feelgoodism has been going on for a looooooooooong time. "Just say this prayer", "accept Jesus as your Savior", "ask Jesus into your heart" - that stuff is far more damaging to the gospel.

This great falling away that is spoken of by Paul the Apostle in

2 Timothy 2:3 is no longer silently creeping into our congregations but is now roaring in like a lion.
There is no "great falling away" in 2 THESS 2:3.

That verse speak of "the departure", not "a departure" - "the departure". The 'the' implies that it is referencing something already mentioned. I'll leave it to you to work backwards from that point to discover that of which he speaks.

We have had the same Gospel for approximately two-thousand years now

and it has worked fine. Many have come to know the Lord through the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Multitudes have placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as their savior, and have done so in every country on earth.
See what I mean? Where in scripture are we told to "place our faith and trust in Jesus Christ as our savior"? That's not what scripture tells us to do. A lot of people have trusted in Jesus as their savior, but He's not. See Matt 7:21

That "narrow gate" is not merely wanting a savior or wanting to be saved. That's the wide gate.

Kicking Against the Norm
“So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth,” Revelation 3:16.

One thing you can say about a large portion of the Christian Church today is that it is certainly lukewarm. Jesus speaking of the Church at Laodicea proclaims the following, “Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked,” Revelation 3:17. Just as Jesus was speaking to the Church at Laodicea , He is also admonishing many in today’s Church.

Many of the attitudes in our society today are quite contrary to true Christian beliefs, and yet little if anything is being done by Christians to curtail this intruding evil. The Church today is filled with apathy and ignorance. The mind set of many Christians today is “I don’t know and I don’t care”. I heard a Christian brother say just the other day, “I just want to live in my own little world”. I believe this mind set is quite prevalent throughout the Christian Church today.

When we see what once might have been a fad flourishing and growing in size and substance such as the false doctrines invading the Church without much opposition at all, or the religion of evolution permeating every aspect of our society, including our churches and public school system, or the homosexual agenda that is now force fed to children as young as four years old in our society, and of course the murder of the defenseless babies in the womb, the distribution of pornography over the internet worldwide, the following questions beg to be asked: Is this our destiny? Is this where the U.S. is headed? My opinion is the U.S. isn’t headed in that direction; we have arrived.

Historically speaking, we have “evolved” in our society to the point that we aren’t too far from where most of the past major civilizations were just before their collapse. If you study the Roman Empire for example, it just fell apart, it sort of imploded from within. One of the greatest and most influential civilizations in the past 2000 years and it just wasted away into obscurity. Why? Well let’s take a look at their society’s norm. Child murder was carried out on a massive scale, homosexuality was commonplace, the decadent and depraved life styles of their populace and their government officials including their most exalted leader, Caesar, knew no limits. Wealth and power were strived for on every level of their society, but the heavy burden of taxation placed on their citizenry helped greatly toward the collapse of that once great empire.

The United States of America is at that precipice now. Can the U.S. as a nation be brought back to be a society of loving, giving, worshiping, humble, God fearing individuals filled with the joy of knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and living our lives for Him? Personally, I doubt it. I’m not really a pessimist, but I do look at the big picture. As I see things unfolding before us, there is a very real and intense drive to rid the U.S. of God. In particular the push is to rid the United States of America of any semblance of the name of Jesus the Christ. God will not force Himself on any society or nation. If it is our desire to give God the boot, He will most assuredly comply with our wishes.

All this movement toward secular humanism didn’t just happen overnight. As in the Roman Empire it was a gradual descent, one that many of their citizenry weren’t aware of until it had completely engulfed them. The same has happened here in our country. It started out years ago as a small and innate movement. Little by little over a period of some one hundred years or so, it has now blossomed into a full fledge, overwhelming, and completely destructive anti-God movement with the most horrible of consequences imagined for every born again believer living in this country today.

Persecution of Christians is now becoming a mainstay in our society. We read of Christians taking their witness to the streets of late, also to the parks, and to the sidewalks and what do they get for their witness? They’ve been arrested, prosecuted, jailed, fined, and more just for witnessing to the lost. In some cases they were only praying in silence in a public park. Brothers and sisters do you see any resemblance to the early Church persecution here?

What is happening in our society is just this. Many, and I mean many, men and women in all walks of life have become totally depraved; their minds have become warped. Their hearts have been hardened and they have no desire to live any other way than in darkness. “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil,” John 3:19.

All around us is the perception of evil, men hating men and killing each other, fathers and mother killing their own children, children murdering their parents and all this hatred for no reason it seems other than hearts turning cold and hard. We’ve probably all read or heard about a mother drowning her own children just because she couldn’t handle them any longer. We can see that the scriptures are coming true right before our very eyes. “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold,” Matthew 24:12.

What is happening in our society and this great nation where we were once a sincerely loving and caring country? Are we so concerned with obtaining our own fortune and acquiring everything we can to sustain us in the future that we give little or no credence to the evil that surrounds us? Maybe our minds and our hearts are now numb to any threat of losing our freedom to worship God and to witness to the lost in our society. A man I had a conversation with recently told me he would not witness to many of the people he encounters because they are so cold and heartless that he believes they would only respect a good beating. I wonder how many feel the same way. Culturally speaking, have we stopped witnessing because we feel there is no use? Is that really up to us? Didn’t our Lord Jesus give us the commandment to spread the Gospel, His Gospel? Isn’t it the Holy Spirit that convicts a hardened heart?

The very fact that we Christians, as a whole, have stopped witnessing to the lost is exactly why some Christians are being arrested for doing just that throughout America. Who would have ever thought it possible? The authorities have no fear anymore of Christians raising up a rebellion against the tyranny and injustice coming down upon the followers of Jesus Christ. These same authorities have witnessed the apathy for themselves in the Christian Church and they know, for the most part, the coast is clear.

We attend Sunday services at our local Church, we fellowship with like minded brothers and sisters in Christ, we have potlucks, special meetings, but after all that we head home to our comfort zone, where we can hide in our own little world away from all the persecution brought by the followers of our enemy (Satan). This is not what Jesus was talking about when He said “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature,” Mark 16:15. He meant what He said. He commanded us. He did not simply make a request. If our bosses tell us to carry out a certain task at work and we refuse, won’t we suffer the ultimate consequences of our rebellion? Shouldn’t we therefore suffer the consequences of our rebellion against our Lord and Savior for our refusal to submit to His commandments?

As followers of Christ, we are all supposed to be ministers for Christ. Are we all following our Lord’s command? Hardly. If we were, this society of ours would be one filled with Christian men, women, and children. This is not the case. No longer are we a nation under God; no longer do we hold our elected officials to strict ethical or moral standards. When we go to a polling station to vote for our favorite candidate, we now vote for the one with the least amount of moral failures. The idea of choosing a moral candidate, someone with character for example, for any office is basically nonexistent. One of my favorite Bible teachers made the statement that “Character is what you do in private when no one is looking.” These days we vote for the candidate that might share at least one of the same moral issues with us. I can think of three candidates presently running for the office of the President of the United States of America that are diametrically opposed to the moral issues that I consider paramount.

So what of the future for Christians in the U.S.? What does the future hold for those of us with a belief in an almighty creator God in comparison to those with the mindset that there is no God? How do we react to those who believe that all truth is relative, and that people who still believe in that “antiquated book” (the Bible) written by men, should have little or no voice or value in our public arena today? If you are one of those who have given up witnessing to the lost, then you are part of the problem.

In conclusion, it is my opinion that all born again followers of Jesus Christ better start evaluating the consequences of a posture of silence against that of a posture of letting your voice be heard. The consequences of keeping silent in the face of what’s coming will be a complete loss of our right to worship openly. The persecution is coming no matter what! Jesus promises that. “Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you;” John 15:20.

If we Christians don’t take a stand now, we might just see in our lifetime the complete and total destruction of the most powerful country in the world as she falls from her most exalted position.

God bless you all,
Ron Graham

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

God bless you all,
Ron Graham

LIES

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils…”

1Timothy 4:1

Now and then we all lie, but that’s not what I’m going to be discussing in this commentary.

This commentary is about the lies that have changed people’s future for the

worst and in many cases have condemned them to Hell.

The lies I’ll be discussing here in this text are the lies of the enemy (Satan).

As we grow in our walk with the Lord, we become more in tune to God.

While we are babes in Christ we may very well get lost in Satan’s lies.

Those who are walking with Jesus and allowing Him complete control of their lives have a shield that is impregnable by the enemy’s lies.

Those who reject our Lord Jesus have no defense, no shield, and no hope of fending off his lies.

Satan uses many different deceptions to suck people into his diabolical schemes. Remember his only desire is to keep people from

believing in Jesus Christ;

Satan knows his ultimate destination and desires as much company as possible.

Immorality, idolatry,

and false religions are but added benefits for his amusement.

Keep in mind Satan will go to any length to achieve his purpose.

He’s quite adept at fogging our minds so we can’t see truth.

This leads to the hardening of the heart, and it’s difficult to be brought back to the truth of the Gospel of Christ once in that hardened state of mind.

It’s been Satan’s goal from the beginning to supplant God’s authority.

From the time the serpent first deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden

until this very day, Satan’s entire purpose is to be god,

to be worshipped as god,

to exalt himself to the highest place in Heaven above God Almighty.

Believers in Christ know that that is impossible;

we’ve read the Bible’s ending and we know who wins.

This however hasn’t deterred Satan one little bit from going forward with his plans.

Let’s take a look at a Biblical description of Satan.

“Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone [was] thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Thou [art] the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee [so]: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God;

thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created.” Ezekiel 28: 12-15.

God created Lucifer as the most beautiful cherub, he held the rank, as it were, of “the cherub that covers,”

the most powerful of all the cherubim and the leader of all angels in Heaven.

Only God was above Lucifer.

What happened to Lucifer?

Where did it all go wrong?

Lucifer fell into the trap of pride.

Pride took over in Lucifer’s existence and he began to desire it all; he wanted and expected to be god.

He wanted to be the most high; I purposely omitted the last part of Ezekiel chapter 28 verse 15.

Here it is “till iniquity was found in thee.”

And then we see what happened to Lucifer,

“Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness:”

Read now what Satan desires as told by Isaiah,

“For thou hast said in thine heart,

I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:

I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High,”

Isaiah 14:13, 14. These are known as the five “I wills” of Satan and as you can see he’s very determined.

For this reason God hates pride.

Lucifer fell from grace because of his pride and Satan is now our adversary

He is completely evil and he will suffer the punishment God has promised.

Until that time comes Satan will continue to spread his

evil lies across the globe.

False religions are of Satan; false doctrines are also of Satan.

So many deceived souls.

How could this be?

Just like Eve, they have believed the lie of Satan instead of the truth of God’s word.

Any religion that refuses to accept Jesus Christ as God Almighty is a false religion and of Satan.

Satan’s lies should be obvious to all who profess to be born again Christians.

As we read and study our Bibles we see God’s truth as it comes alive before our eyes and we can see the falsehoods that are passed around by His enemy.

In the Garden of Eden the serpent asked Eve,

“Did God really say…” and then he made the statement

“You shall not surely die”.

You see these are essentially the same lies Satan uses today.

He hasn’t come up with anything new.

He convinces those who are perishing to look at God’s truth (the Bible) as pure foolishness.

He places blinders on those who are in cults so they won’t see the truth.

These blinders are very powerful and quite deceptive.

Joseph Smith, for example, the founder of Mormonism was allegedly visited by an angel by the name of Moroni, and this angel gave Smith a “new gospel”,

a new revelation.

But look what the Apostle Paul tells us in his letter to the Galatians.

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:8.

Smith must have missed this verse.

He went on listening to Satan instead of God,

and currently there are twelve million Mormons worldwide and this false religion is one of the fastest growing cults in the world today. “

Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name:

I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them:

they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart,” Jeremiah 14:14.

Mormons believe that they are Christians, and yet their last president publicly proclaimed they were not a Christian organization.

Mormons don’t believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God.

They don’t believe Jesus Christ is God Almighty.

They believe that Jesus Christ is a created being, the brother of Lucifer.

As born again believers we know that Jesus Christ is the Creator God, and that He created Lucifer (Satan).

There are so many resources available that can be easily accessed that will

give anyone willing to search them out all the answers to what the Mormons are about.

Let me just say this: the differences are many and the gap is huge.

Jehovah’s Witnesses are in the same boat.

They are all deceived because of what Satan has fed them in the way of lies.

Remember this:

any religious organization that doesn’t take the Bible as God breathed is deceived.

Jehovah’s Witnesses have written their own bible because they didn’t like what they saw in the Bibles we believers use.

Here’s an example of just one verse they’ve changed in their bibles.

In the Gospel of John we read,

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”.

The JW’s changed the last part to read “….and the word was a god”.

They don’t believe that Jesus Christ is God Almighty.

They have relegated Him to a lower position, a sort of subordinate god.

This again is a satanic deception. Space does not allow for all the differences between the beliefs of the JWs and Christians to be listed here,

but as in Mormonism,

the resources proclaiming the truth of who they are are quite abundant.

Once again there remains a huge gap between JWs and true Christianity.

Islam is a religion of peace?

Not hardly.

At any rate they, just like the previous two, relegate Jesus to that of a completely erroneous position,

that of a prophet and teacher and, of course, below the status of Mohammed.

Worldwide there are 1.5 billion Muslims.

The followers of this false religion are all deceived and condemned unless they get out of that satanically based religion before it’s too late.

There are other false religions that can be addressed such as Hinduism,

Buddhism, Shintoism, Scientology, New Age, among others.

These false religions have all swallowed Satan’s lies hook, line, and sinker.

Even Roman Catholics have many traditions and doctrines that are, quite frankly, not in any way Biblical.

The Roman Catholics believe in lifting up Mary the mother of Jesus as a co-redemptrix.

That lie alone is enough to condemn them.

There are other lies that the Roman Catholic Church practices.

Taking the bread and wine emblems of the communion supper as actually being the literal body and blood of Christ is not biblical.

Asking a priest for absolution, believing that you must be baptized to be saved,

and believing in purgatory as a stopping off place before getting into Heaven are all unbiblical doctrines.

They adorn their sanctuaries with idols “What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?” Habakkuk 2:18.

Satan’s lies as stated above are all abominations to God.

“Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through,

it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves,” Isaiah 28:15.

We’ll never see any of the false religions of this world going through the

bitter attacks from God’s enemy such as we see happening with Christianity in these last days.

That fact alone should prove even to the most ardent skeptic of Christianity that there is only one way to Heaven and that’s through Jesus Christ.

If all roads or religions led to Heaven,

the enemy of God would be attacking each of them with the same manner of attacks that he heaves at Christianity.

(billiefan2000 note I am adding in: those who attend churches such as
http://www.northsideomaha.org/AboutUs.asp

I hope think about that previous statment just made)

This just isn’t the case.

Even in our public schools today we see the false world religions accepted with open arms.

Only the Son of God is locked out of that arena.

Should we, as born again Christians,

point out the falsehoods that have originated from the mind of Satan whenever we have a chance?

Absolutely.

What about the persecution we’ll encounter by exposing the lies of Satan to

the world?

Let me just say that we must be prepared for the onslaught of evil that will be hurled at us for our politically incorrect stance.

Calling out these false religions, cults, and bastions of the evil one will bring swift retribution.

Personally,

I have no wish to see any of those adherents to the false religions I’ve mentioned above perish.

The Bible is God’s word.

We study it to learn God’s truth.

We then present God’s truth to those who are perishing in hopes that they

will also see the truth and be set free from Satan’s influence and lies.

We cannot control the path of another human being;

we can only offer up an alternative path. It’s their choice to either act on the flawless truth of God’s word or reject it and continue on the path that will lead them to Hell.

Satan is a liar and the father of all lies and those who follow him, knowingly or not, are his children.

“Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.

He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.

When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it, John 8:44.

If you’re reading this commentary and you’re in one of the cults I’ve mentioned above, you’re in a false religion.

This commentary is your wake up call. You are the children of your father the devil.

But there is hope for you; you need not stay in that lost state.

You have a choice. Jesus Christ our Creator God is God Almighty and He is your only choice.

In stark contrast to Satan’s lies is the truth of God’s word.

We can truly believe every word that proceeds from the mouth of God; every word in the Holy Bible is God breathed.

Who are those who are headed for God’s kingdom as their final destination?

Those who’ve accepted Jesus Christ into their lives as their Savior and Lord.

Those who’ve believed with all their heart and confessed with their mouth that Jesus Christ is God Almighty are they who the Bible makes clear have their names written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

We are admonished individually to repent and ask Jesus Christ into our lives.

It’s not a corporate decision and no one can make it for you.

Finally, Jesus made this statement which pertains to us all “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I Am, ye shall die in your sins,”

John 8:24. Our belief in Jesus as Savior and Lord is not complete if we refuse to believe that He is God Almighty.

When Christianity is finally eliminated from our public and private arenas, what will happen to us then?

Proclaim the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ every chance you get, always standing against the lies of Satan,

or begin your preparations for worshipping underground.

God bless you all,

Ron Graham
