Has anyone else have this problem before?
We had some major drama in Sunday School this past Sunday. My teacher was talking about a narrow path versus a wide path. The disscussion was how to Christ it is a narrow path because of how hard it is etc, etc. When it came to the wide path people mention churchs that have fallen away from true Bible Faith. At this point a lady was talking about how she went to a polling place at a church and it was setup more like a coffee shop then a church, and she was wondering how close to the bible this church teached. Well all of a sudden this lady who has been to our class a few times launches a frontal assult on this lady by saying how this church went by the bible and such and was almost screaming at her.
Thank goodness our teacher calmed the situation down quickly but the sad thing is my wife and I had gone to that church and they seemed really to water down the message. For example they were talking about the Rapture and they showed clips from a 70's moving dealing w/the Rapture and they commented on it like Mystrey Thearte 3000 style. Also at the end when they asked for people to come up to give their life to Christ they said to do it after the service and if you don't want to come up that was cool too. It is sad to see people fall for this emergent movement and I'm glad to have found a church that is not afraid to stand up for it's ideals.
I have told several people about this and they said they hope for my class sake that the couple do not show back up, but I hope they do so they she and her husband can hear the truth and realize there is a lot of misinformation out there on the true teachings of Christ. I will have to pray for them
