I received a promotion today for a new DVD out in June called, “The Source of the Secret”: Revelations of Faith, Joy & Gratitude. Word-faith teachers like John Bevere, Oral Roberts and several others unite to promote the “Law of Attraction” as taught in the bestselling “The Secret”. Here’s the promotion letter from the agency.

I have news for them. Oral Roberts has been teaching “The Secret” for decades now. Here is the trailer for “The Source of the Secret” DVD, coming out in June. Look at the line-up of supposedly evangelical pastors promoting this stuff.

Incredible! I knew they would come together, but I thought it would at least take a few years. I guess since they're all speaking the same language, same message, it had to happen very quickly so nobody would get left out in the cold. It really rang a bell in my ear when they said that this "law of attraction" is happening whether you participate (know it) or not (can't remember exact phrase used). That's what WOFers have been saying for decades; essentially that you can use these spiritual powers for your own benefit or be cursed by them. UUUgggghhhh! I just want to cry over this. Sooo many people don't have the spiritual weaponry to battle this lie and will be taken in. Thanks you guys for the links. So what do we do now? How do we reach people who are lost in this version of ancient gnosticism?

If they are "lost in it", they are so deceived that they cannot see the Truth. Just keep sharing the Gospel with everyone God puts in your path:hug. His Holy Spirit is responsible for calling out people for salvation. We sometimes are just "seed planters" with the love of Jesus Christ displayed in actions and words of love:hug. Keep yourself in the love of Christ, and just keep giving it away to others is what we are to be doing. Renew that "First Love" you had with Christ in the beginning of your walk with Him(Remember His warning to the Church in Ephesus in the Book of Revelation), and warn everyone about the Apostasy abroad today, as you are "contending earnestly for the faith", as Jude told us to do :thumb. The only secret behind this "The Secret" is that it is the mystery (or some translations say "secret power") of lawlessness/iniquity at work. See 2 Thessalonians 2:7.

BTW, The Secret came directly from demons (spirit guides) who were channeled through Esther Hicks. Rhonda Byrnes wrote about what the demons said in her book "The Secret" and the accompanying DVD. How any Christian could use The Secret is so outrageous and heretical. The Source of the Secret uses The Secret and takes it a "step further" to The Source, which can only be satan.
