If we win, we praise Him, if we lose, we praise Him.
To keep this short, I'm going to bullet point some things:
lost job on 10/30/07- and it was a blessing (worked for insurance co.- heavy dealings w/ abortion)
managed to make all house payments until now
paid off last truck in 09/2007- just before
was trying to be calm, but under stress internally and begging mercy
wife was stressed, increasing talk of moving back to AZ
increasing talk of possibly losing house
wife got a bonus in 02/2008 and was 4x what was expected- over $2K
have sent out over 300 resumes/apps, got 4 interviews
twice thought I nailed a position, economy scared owners, they rescinded jobs
wife gets a call from former employer, friend out of the blue
gets an offer to come back- make her own schedule, $5K increase
started entertaining maybe being forced to move back to AZ
at total peace with it all- God took the stress
long talks with wife and family- all on same page: as long as we have each other, who cares?
called mortgage co to humbly explain my situation
they immediately offered a 4 month moratorium to help us find work and build up reserves
the Honda card balance is down $2K due to payment protection I elected
payment protection on my other credit cards- calling to eliminate payments for a while
got a phone call from a 3 month old resume drop- interview tomorrow, nice position
completely at peace, we talk about making some preps for unforeseen circumstances
feeling God's hand of mercy and peace again
whatever happens, we are ok
credit rating is intact and still good for the moment, no late bills
What a storm. I was blind in the midst, now I can see again, calm is restored to my home no matter what happens. I loathed the thought of leaving the country to go back to Phoenix metro, but I am ambivalent about it now. Isn't our God awesome?
