PROGRESSIVE CHRISTIANITY” IS NEITHER PROGRESSIVE OR CHRISTIAN

I titled this short post concerning Marcus Borg

as I did because these progressive snakes are attempting to pass themselves off as genuine Christians

to the world and they are currently infiltrating the Body of Christ through their daughter the Emergent Church.

You need to understand that so-called “Progressive Christianity

” is really just old liberal theology in new garb and the cult of the Emergent Church

itself is simply a reimagined/repainted/regurgitated version of liberal theology, a post-liberalism.

Below you can see for yourself what “Progressive” Christians like Dr. Marcus Borg, a Fellow of the Jesus Seminar—who denies both the Deity of Jesus Christ and His literal Bodily Resurrection from the dead—believe.

Under “About Us” at the website for The Center For Progressive Christianity we see The 8 Points.

Here are a couple of them:

By calling ourselves progressive we mean we are Christians who...

2. Recognize the faithfulness of other people who have other names for the way to God's realm, and acknowledge that their ways are true for them, as our ways are true for us.

6. Find more grace in the search in the search for understanding than we do in dogmatic certainty — more value in questioning than in absolutes. (Online source, emphasis mine)

This is the same source of the spiritual cyanide spewed by Rob Bell to your young in your church youth groups,

minus the

different “ways”—well, at least for now.

And what do you suppose that “dogmatic certainty”

is that these progressive purveyors of doctrines of demons arrogantly eschew?

Your answer is found in the statement “other names for the way.” We throw out the very exclusivity of the genuine exclusive Gospel of Jesus Christ itself.

As you’ll see in Doug Pagitt

Rob Bell And The Seeds Of Compassion

Event we soon have emerging church pastors going to learn from so-called “deep wisdom” of the pagan Dali Lama

Note to evangelical leaders who are doing such a stunning impression of Rip Van Winkle:

It’s well past time to for you to wake up now.

As Dr. Walter Martin once said of the original Cult of Liberal Theology:

“If you can’t tell the difference between fleece and fur, you're going to lose your spiritual arm right up to your elbow.”

And guys...these Progressive wolves are as furry as wolves in deepest cold of winter.

After watching the video, I noticed some certain terms which lead me to believe Mr. Borg has some beliefs with Carl Jung. When I was a psychology major I read some of Carl Jungs theories and one had to do with Archtypes. He referred to the Christian path or 'the way' as an archtype. If you don't know what this means the best way to is to explain it. Like "god". According to Carl Jung 'god' is an archtype. 'god' represents the parental figures that we grew up with and when we are grown up and on our own we create 'god' as an imaginary 'parent'.
Now I don't believe this is true, I believe that Mr. Borg and his colleages believe that 'god' is what Carl Jung believed 'imaginary'. Everyone is right because 'god' is just an imaginary 'parent'.
I also seen the way he presents his case, very relaxed and somewhat beleiveable if you do not know scripture well enough to counter him. I saw how he used the quote out of John 3:16 For God so loved the world... but he stopped there with his belief that God loves everyone and everyting so it is ok to be whatever you want because God will love you anyway. Notice how he forgets to say that those who refuse to repent and believe in His son is condemned. I believe is part of John 3:17. This indicates that anyone who does NOT believe in Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior and repent of their sins is doomed for eternity.
Those in the Liberal theology just pick and choose what verses or parts of verses they want to believe and those they don't. Than they pass it off as Chirstian beliefs. No wonder the world doesn't see much of a difference between the 'church' and them.
