Any predictions for the day ends? For some reason I think the FED will put enough spin on this to make it an almost non-event.

yep, somehow it'll end up.... doesn't make ANY SENSE!!! it drives me crazy!!

It'll be a frenetic day/week while the implications of the Bear Stearns bailout and the 0.25% interest rate drop for interbank lending are analyzed.
Should be very interesting.

The more spin the Fed puts on this, the more concerned I become.

11950: a guess as good as any I guess...
My DOW open guess was not too far off.
If this really is as low as the Fed will let the market drop then this should not drop the markets more than 1 or 2%.
The Fed now has permission to cut rates a full point with out many crying fowl for the USD.
Amazing how all of this happens right before a scheduled rate cut by the Fed.
