Here R.C. Sproul, Al Mohler, and Ravi Zacharias discuss post-modernism, modernism, liberalism, and the emergent church. Is there any real difference among the four?

Perhaps liberalism, modernism and post-modernism is a road and the emergent church is one of the vehicles to get your from one end to the other in that order.....

I thought Ravi did the best in this discussion. One thing that bothered me, although this was only a "clip" of the conversation, is that the word BIBLICAL truth was not spoken. There was no scripture (sword) given.
The fact is that the Emergent church does not stand on Biblical Truth. It twists (deconstruction) and adds and perverts what God has to say.
It's also not only McLaren as they solely discussed but many others.
Th dangers are also in those who state they are non-emergent YET bring in "spiritual formation" to God's Word! It's not there. This is adding to scripture--another perversion and doctrines of man (satan) that tickles the ears.
This discussion, IMO was not a strong one.:idunno

I have learned much from RC Sproul...but isn't he a Preterist? Am I wrong in this? I hope so, as I used to listen to him and just loved his teachings. But somewhere along the way I read that he was a Preterist. I hope I'm wrong. Anyone know?

What is a preterist? I thought RC Sproul was better than that? (If It's Bad) I have no clue, but it sounds bad :(

A Preterist believes either
1) EVERYTHING in prophecy has already happened
2) EVERYTHING but the second coming has happened
Usually around 70 AD with the destruction of the temple
Dr. Mohler is excellent on so many subjects. His words on Emergent and Seeker Sensitive certainly get to the the central point.

It was just a clip. I think this was their question and answer session. They had just been through several sermons at this conference. At least I think that is the case. All three men are strongly biblical in their approach. May not be right eschatologically, but they are right on just about everything else :heythere

YouTube limits new accounts to only 10 minute clips. That's why you see many shows divided up into many parts. Maybe this one was just a piece of the whole show. And who knows who made the clip. Maybe they didn't pick the best part.
But I did like the last minute or so.
