Does anyone know why I can no longer view videos on the internet since I loaded this software? If you do, can you help me get my videos back? I love to watch Hal Lindsey on the net (I don't get him on tv) but now his videos don't show up. I also can't get the animation maps from weather.com or any videos off of youtube. And now I just found out that I can't load the smilies from the MORE link on rapture ready. PLEASE HELP!!!! :ohno

I never used defender but it sounds like it's blocking the download of the videos. Can you download anything else off the net?
You might want to try a diffrent program (if you haven't paid for Defender yet) like AVG free edition (http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html?tag=lst-1). I was going to suggest Kario firewall because I used to have it but it isn't free any more. Comodo firewall (http://www.download.com/Comodo-Firewall-Pro/3000-10435_4-10460704.html?tag=lst-1) claims to be powerful and easy to use but I've never tried it.
It might also be a problem with internet explorer, you can try Firefox (http://www.download.com/Mozilla-Firefox/3000-2356_4-10208565.html?tag=lst-1) and see if that changes anything. Everything suggested above is %100 free.

I have used an older version of Defender Pro for two years without any problems but my license was running out so I had to upgrade to 5-in-1 2008. So, I bought the three license edition. My husband had problems on his computer after he loaded it but it appeared that it was a system problem. Feeling confident that it wasn't Defender Pro, I loaded it this afternoon and all of a sudden, no video. I did solve one part of the problem which was with ActiveX but not the video part. I am frustrated. :ohno

Hmm... I was reading on cnet that system problems are pretty common Defender 2008. Don't know what to tell you. Try going to their website and see if there are any patches or fixes or even advice on how to fix the problems. If all else fails then email the company and ask for help.

When I installed the new version of the software, it apparently affected the active x controls and placed WIN 453 file on the drive. There seems to be a problem with WIN 453 according to my husband and Defender Pro hasn't fixed it yet. Anyway, I corrected the active x problems (TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS/SECURITY/CUSTOM LEVEL). On shut down then restart this morning, everything is working right again. :bash

:bashThat particular method of 'shutting down' may be part of the problem... :idunno
