*Small Warning* She mentions drinking during pregnancy and there is a minor swear word at the end, but the general gist of the article is one that's familiar to every mother I've ever spoken to.

:)

I've sent this to my pregnant sister - anyone else felt like this??

There is more truth there than we might like to admit. I raised three children and two grandchildren, all I can say is "right on".

Good article. I wasn't concerned much with the talk of alcohol during pregnancy when I saw that it was from France. The U.S. is one of the few countries that view alcohol in a negative light. I was in Germany while I was pregnant and was advised to have at least 1 glass of wine per week, if not daily. I don't like wine, so I did not follow orders. Europe doesn't appear to have the drinking problems that we have here in the U.S. and it is common and even suggested that a light drink during pregnancy is good. The rest of the article was good. I had to grin in memory several times when reading it. I have been asked several times how I get my daughter to behave so well. My answer is always the same: "I didn't start today." I have been criticized on a regular basis for not following the norm of child raising. When I look at the child I am raising, I see a straight A student who is active in sports, healthy, well mannered, respectful of others (especially adults), and absolutely LOVES JESUS! Then I can look at the criticism as jealousy from other parents who are not putting in the effort.

Oh I so could relate. Gosh, when I had my first son 7 years ago I was SO OPINIONATED. I thought a certain way about breastfeeding, sleep schedules, working vs not working.....

Now that 7 years later and 3 CHILDREN later I'm like.......

"Honey, you just do whatever it takes to get through the day".....
