Resting wrote Perhaps someone can help with advice

I just read this article here on RR
does this mean if you sometimes slip up and struggle with Veiwing
pornography
and or lusting at another woman
but repent yet sometimes fall into this sin
does this mean that I will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven ????

Point #7 – The Unrepentant, Sexually Active Will Never Enter
Heaven.
The final, startling truth about being sexually promiscuous is the fact that the unrepentant will never enter heaven. The Bible states this:
I will come near to you to judgement; and I will be a swift witness…against the adulterers…and that…fear not me, saith the Lord of hosts.
– Malachi 3.5

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: Adultery, fornication…of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
– Galatians 5.19-21

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators…nor adulterers…nor abusers of themselves with mankind…shall inherit the kingdom of God.
– I Corinthians 6.9-10

Blessed are they that do his comandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are…whoremongers…
– Revelation 22.14-15

I think the position of ones heart has a lot to do with ones struggle with these things.

Unless someone can provide scripture otherwise, once you are saved then that's it. You can't become "unsaved".

Your entrance into heaven is based upon your acceptance of Christ and not upon your continued sin.

Your entrance into hell is based upon your rejection of Christ and not upon your continued sin.

Sin - yours, mine, and even the pope's - will continue.

The guilt, the feeling of being ashamed, the sense of disgust....these are because you ARE holy. Unholy people don't have these feelings. We are aware of them because of Jesus. Because we accept Him. Without Him there is nothing....no pain, no guilt, no disgust, no shame.

Forgive yourself. God forgives you.

:doh I should've said that! hehehe

This is soooo true.
What I meant regards to the position of ones heart is the fact you feel convicted by these actions, shows you have a heart for Christ.

When we stand before God, our sins will be as far away from us as the east from the west.

Thankyou Jesus.

I'm sorry but this just sounds a little too lax as if to say go right ahead and do it and ask for forgiveness later when the bible clearly says to abstain from this type of behavior. :doh

Feeling pain, guilt, disgust and shame about committing sin does not make one Holy nor is it a sign they are Holy. Being obedient to God's word and living a life (according to God's standard in his word) is what is pleasing and acceptable to God.

Willfully committing sexual sin is NOT okay in God's eyes because he says not to do this outside of marriage. When a person commits a sexual sin he/she knows exactly what they are doing and they are willfully and disobediently going against God's word and there is no other way to say it because that's the truth!

If anyone is committing fornication, adultery, or any other kind of sexual activity outside of marriage they need to REPENT of it and quit doing it.

My advice to Resting is to truly repent and ask for forgiveness. Abstain from putting yourself in a position to where you will be tempted with pornography or committing some kind of sexual sin. Pray about it. God hears you and can and will give you the strength to be victorious. You're not going through anything that many, many other folks aren't going through as well. It's called battling the flesh.

No one can get on here and tell you it's ok to have an active sex life outside of marriage because that would be a lie and against God's word. I really don't know what other advice to give you other than to repent and quit doing the things that you know is disproving to God. If you have already truly repented and asked for forgiveness then get up and dust yourself off and keep on that straight and narrow path to heaven because you are forgiven.

Will you struggle? I'm sure you will brother because we all do. Again, it's called battling the flesh. Do you have to give in to this temptation or be a slave to it? No you do not. It always helps to have true Christian friends around to talk to and to fellowship with. God bless you Resting. :)

Our sins need to be overcome.
Jesus said... be ye perfect.
But since were not, it means we have to pester Him a good bit to keep us on the right track.
Ask Him, and He will, that's where faith comes in.

I believe your position in the Kingdom of Heaven is relavent to your deeds on earth. Such as, he who teaches those to break these commandments will be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven. Yet note they are in the Kingdom. This doesn't justify sin but we all do indeed sin.

You can get so caught up in worrying about your salvation because of sin that you can create the greater sin.

My advice to Resting is to truly repent and ask for forgiveness. Abstain from putting yourself in a position to where you will be tempted with pornography or committing some kind of sexual sin. .......

That would be nice if it were always possible. 2 years ago God opened the doors to allow me to have the job I have now. This job has allowed me to be a witness for Jesus to many of my coworkers. However, I must fight a continuous battle with lust....you see I happen to work at a southern university where the coeds believe that the less they wear is the best to wear. I can't change my job as I feel deeply that this is where God wants me, but I can't ABSTAIN from putting myself in a position to be tempted, as I have to do my job, which requires me to be all over campus.

Being obedient to God's word and living a life (according to God's standard in his word) is what is pleasing and acceptable to God.

Was Paul's life pleasing to God? Yes, I think that it was. But then he said in
Romans 7:15 (ESV) I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.

The way I understand things is that I will never be free from falling into sin until I am no longer bound to my flesh. So until I die or get raptured I will fall into sin. I am not perfect, but my Savior is.

Exactly right;

When we become born again, we receive a new nature, the Christ Nature, to replace (eventually) the old sin nature. This change is so complete that we are already referred to by Paul as "a new creation."

But we still struggle with the old nature as we grow into the new. The new Nature, which will be all that is left after we die or are raptured, is the one we take into Heaven. The old nature, out of which all sins, not just sexual sins, come, will cease to exist for us at that time, and as the Scriptures quoted above state, "cannot inherit the Kingdom of Heaven."

Nontheless, Jesus tells us that "He who believes in me does not come into Judgement, but has already passed from death into life." God sets us free from the fear of punishment so we can grow into a more mature type of goodness, where we serve him freely out of gratitude and love. Some will take little advantage of this new freedom and will earn few rewards when we come before the Bema seat to have our works judged.

This is not a license to sin, but provision has been made for us by Father for when we do sin, as we grow. Like John wrote, "Children, above all do not sin. But when you do....."

I've always felt that these back to back verses were proof that Father has a sense of humor, even about the most serious things.

Sometimes I feel that some of our brothers are so worried satisfying Father by their own performance, (which can be a sin in and of itself,) that they make the same mistake the Muslims do, worrying more about controlling our actions than the condition of our hearts. I've been in congreations like that before, and the Lord has always led me out of then sooner or later.
