My Mom sent that to me too.
Look at it discerningly and you will see why it was blocked as a cult site.
Did the obituary mention that Jesus is God, the ultimate God-man? No. He can't be the perfect payment for our sins unless He was both God and man.
Did the obituary mention He is not still in the grave? I serve a living God, not one that is still in a tomb.
Do you see the "in leiu of flowers act treat others as Jesus did" - works righteousness. It mentions nothing about sin, repentance, and faith. It is implying that you can be a follower of Jesus, i.e. a Christian by acting like Jesus. And that is all it would be, an act. Our good works are because we are saved, not the other way around. Jesus talked about the good tree that bears good fruit, not the tree that became good by bearing fruit.
All cults begin with a wrong idea about the character of God. In these days we need to be discerning before we pass things around, it is too easy to entertain false teachings.

The obituary would have probably been posted on the 3rd day meaning a retraction would have to be written for the 4th day.

Did you read the other parts of the website? It has a section on repentence and accepting Jesus as Savior and asking the Holy Spirit to help you grow in the word. The "obituary" was showing how it would read in "today's" paper. :candle

It also talked about a "touching" interview between Oprah and Billy Graham, portraying Oprah as a Christian. Now I certainly don't know anyone's heart, but she has publicaly said there are many paths to Heaven, and it doesn't matter what you call Jesus (unlike what we are told in Acts 4:10-12).
Oprah is into many new age practices, there have been many threads about the books and ideas she endorses.
I think a website that points to Oprah as a positive spiritual role model needs to be looked at carefully.
