What Is Oprah Teaching?

I've been hearing about Oprah's on-line course, "A New Earth."

Does anyone know what this course "teaches"? Some highlights of the study would be appreciated, as my Bible Study is concerned about some women we know and love who are taking this course.

I've seen highlights of her satelite radio study, "A Course in Miracles." Shocking!!!

Some insight on "A New Earth", or perhaps a link to someone who has analyzed/critiqued it, would be greatly appreciated.

The classes are based on the book A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle and the message is very New Age (as most of Oprah's beliefs/teachings are). Here's more info about the book:

Oprah believes there are many ways to God. She does not believe Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven:

Like most New Agers, Oprah's religion seems to be tolerance.

I must admit that tolerance, is a very nice thing, or so it seems. We must not tolerate everything, there are absolute rights and wrongs. Nothing will change that. For instance EVERYONE (almost everyone?) believes that murder is wrong.

Labors in the Lord like Christian Research Net are often asked this question because it is quite common to hear Oprah Winfrey talk about “God” and even “Jesus.”

The New Earth is total garbage. If you go to Oprah's website, you can see the videos of her discussion with the author and book club members. The meditate at the beginning of each session so that they can enter a different level of consciousness in order to discuss the book (they are very up front about this). Also, if you read some of the "study guide" they tell you how to meditate on your own and they say if you don't understand something in the book it may be because you have not meditated and entered into another realm of consciousness!!!:panic
The even have an article on how to assimilate these beliefs into your own religious worldview!!!
