okay, i'm a quasi-youtube addict like a lot of people. there really is some great stuff on there if you have the patience to sift through all the garbage. and by "great stuff" i mean solid biblical teaching on themes like the Tabernacle or teachings on prophecy. but again, you have to search for it. so here's what i notice:
if you go to youtube and want to find a short teaching video on say, the resurrection, you type in the word "resurrection" in the search space bar. and what comes up first? about 30 death-metal videos. try typing in "heaven" and again you'll see a page full of music videos. "redemption"..."golgotha"...
"rapture"... on and on. eventually you'll come to a video or two on the real meaning of these words and some of those videos are really well done.
but how the enemy has "hijacked" so many terms out of Scripture and twisted them around to mean little more in modern culture than the name of a band or a computer game. the biblical meaning of these terms hasn't just become secondary, it's almost become lost altogether. it's ridiculous, and just another sign of how man is putting "light for darkness and darkness for light".
the good stuff is still out there but it's getting harder and harder to find.
just a small rant, i feel better...okay, not really
