A big Thank You to all that prayed for this young girl! She is home with her family, and is safe. Praise God!!!
My favorite part of this story is that so many people from my little community became very involved in the efforts to find her... and now the family has responded to them all with an uplifting message of how their faith helped them through this difficult time.
Here is a summary of the situation from my initial post... and below you will see the letter the family posted to our community. GOD IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!
Kacie Klinnert - missing girl in California A developmentally disabled young girl with the mental capacity of an 8-9 year old went missing a week ago in our little town outside of Sacramento, and because she is chronologically 17, the police and local TV and radio stations are not doing much to look into it or to report it. It appears they are treating it as though she is a runaway (which I admit I thought might be the case when I first heard about this... but, now, knowing her developmental situation, and reading the email messages from her family, I don't believe she ran away.)
And here is the letter they wrote to the masses of people that helped them during this trial. The last paragraph says it all!! I pray that many in our community will become curious to understand their great faith in God:
Dearest friends and family,
It is with a grateful heart that I can tell you our daughter is home. She was recovered early this morning and is currently sleeping, safe and sound. We want to thank everyone that reached out to us in our time of need. If it wasn't for everyone forwarding my pleas to anyone they thought could help, our daughter would still be missing. A million "thank you's" to our community for stepping up in a huge way. There will be a day in the not so distant future that we will be able to share with you all what you are so deserving to hear. You have no idea how much we would like for you ALL to share with us right now in this victory. There is more to come, know that. Your efforts saved my daughters life. Please know that. And while we cannot further comment on Kacie's situation, please know as soon as we are are able to share more, we will.
In the meantime we are asking that all inquiries regarding this case be directed to the Federal Bureau of Investigation 916.977.2284
In closing I would like to give all praise and glory to God our Father for keeping His hand over Kacie while she was kept from us. And also for His peace that passed all of our limited understanding. We are so thankful that we have a heavenly Father that we can go directly to and completely surrender to Him and allow Him to comfort us and get us through not just the past week, but the many months ahead.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts...Thank You.
