Goodwill..LOL
Seriously.. I am redoing an old pair of jeans into a (long) skirt for dd. Well, after I made it last night, I thought.."gee a cute denim vest trimmed in the same fabric would be stinkin' cute with this" So today I load up the kiddos and we head to Goodwill and I found one for $3.49 and it was 1/2 off that!! It is in the wash right now and I will be fixing it up later tonight or tomorrow.
I did see some cute skirts there that were waaaay too short, but that I am sure I could do something with. I need to find a pair of camo pants to turn into a skirt. She found a camo skirt that she loved but it was too short.
Ok I just had to share... Thanks for listening

I shop at Goodwill. I bought a beautiful, long black skirt there for $3.85. I brought it home and washed it before wearing it.
I needed a shirt and some new shoes to go with it (of course, :aha), but couldn't find anything at GW. So, I checked Wal-Mart and they were having a clearance that same day. I got a shirt (really pretty purple striped button-up shirt) there for $5 and black pumps for $8.00.
So, I got a complete outfit for less than $20. :yeah

I just recently bought a punch bowl with a dozen cups and a serving ladle for only $3.50 at Goodwill. I needed one for our family get-togethers.
I also got a really nice Pfaltzcraft butter dish for two dollars. It was an upgrade from the plastic dish with no cover I was using.

Here in SLC we have a thrift store called "Savers". Every Monday you can get merchandise with a certain color tag for a $1.00. I have to pace my self because even at a $1.00 you can spend a whole lots of money!! They have all shapes and sizes, and some things with the original store tags still on. Too much fun.

I just never really look at clothes when I go. But somehow last night when I was thinking of what I wanted to do I knew GW was the place to go. I usually look at the books or furniture or housewares. I have a friend who used to get all the OshKosh overalls for her kids when she went. But I could never find them.. I blamed her..LOL

If the skirt is too short is there perhaps other material that would compliment the camo fabric to restyle it using the extra material to make it longer. That way the camo is incorporated into the skirt but with additional complimentary fabric and and unique one of a kind skirt.

The link can be used to take you to all the local thrift shops around your area to check out as well. I am a fan of my Salvation Army locally as well as the Goodwill shop too!
Yard sale season is coming too..never rule that out as a great place to check for bargains..:)
