Hi all I am doing a study on Ephesians 2:11-12...
[11] Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
[12] That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:And I am trying to find all the places that I can in the bible where there were examples of Gentiles being excluded or where they were treated differently. I know there must be lots of verses, but about the only one I can think of is John 4:9...
Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.Here in John 4 the Samaritan woman made it clear that she and her people were excluded by the Jews from any contact with them.

But I might also try to find verses from the Jewish law that also encouraged the exclusion, like all the dietary restriction and all the different things that made a person unclean.

So any verse off the top of your head please share them. And if you can't think of the reference but you do remember a part of the verse please share that and I will search for it.

Thanks so much for your input, RR is a wonderful place to do Bible study together.

This study will provide most of what you are looking for. It is called "Where We Fit In" by a Pastor Richard Jordan. It highlights the positional differences of Jew and Gentile in prior dispensations.

Ephesians 2:14 contains a phrase that is commonly used to describe those differences - the "middle wall of partition." Additionally, note that verse 11 alludes to the positional difference from a racial perspective, while verse 12 alludes to the positional difference from religious perspective.

Hope this helps. :hat
