I'm sure Dr. Mohler is not amused - though there were always a number of Liberal Baptist churches in the Louisville are.

oh man, that makes my heart ache!!!! This is truly a time of sifting and dividing. The lines are being drawn, what side are you gonna be on?

Amen!
We left our emerging, seeker sensitive, purpose driven, lukewarm church.

Good for you, Violet!

As for the former Highland Baptist, I'll say what I've said elsewhere:

Pretty soon, the newspaper will have an announcement such as;

"The meeting place formerly known as Highland Baptist Church is pleased to announce its new name as 'Highland Conversation Zone' with conversations that lead everywhere on the road to nowhere! Any interested conversationalists are welcome to attend!"

OR

"The meeting place formerly known as Highland Baptist Church is pleased to announce its new name as 'The Peace Corps, 2nd edition.' Any interested in touchy feely dogooding with a whiff of Christiany sounding spraypaint are welcome to attend!"

Each of us has to think long and hard about our standing before Jesus Christ someday, and act and teach accordingly.
Knowing full well my own humbling responsibility, I will also say

"good luck, McLaren!" But something tells me you'll need something far more important and different than luck, as do we all.
