The plan, which would require congressional approval for its biggest changes, seeks to trim a hodge-podge collection of overlapping jurisdictions that date back to the Civil War.

It would give the Federal Reserve more power to protect the stability of the entire financial system while merging day-to-day bank supervision into one agency, down from five at present.

It also would create one super agency in charge of business conduct and consumer protection, performing many of the functions of the current Securities and Exchange Commission. :thinking

Agreed. This along with the hate crimes legislation will tell us who gets to borrow money and what we can say. It is all coming together.

That's just it, most people don't see it. They see the Fed coming in to rescue the economy and WELCOME it. I didn't realize until I started reading this forum that the Fed wasn't a government institution. I doubt many people know that. Also, many people, even Christians, don't know a thing about prophesy. My sister is a Christian but she has trouble reading the Bible...she doesn't like to read to begin with and it's confusing to her. I suspect a lot of people are like that. Reading in this nation has been replaced with electronics which drown out the voice of the Holy Spirit. :ohno
