The independents may strike but the corporate trucks will keep rolling. Those drivers will not have a choice, drive or be fired. What a world, my brother in law is a driver. He said America lives on a 3 day supply system after 3 days the store shelves will be clear.

I remember the strike that they had back in the early 80s. Things got pretty bad and some got where they were taking their frustrations out on people using the interstate highways. Some cars were damaged while going under the overpasses and when pulling into rest stops.
Maybe this is why some of the people felt led to stock up on basic supplies.

today on the way to work i noticed that diesel was down 10 cents a gallone since yesterday. i thought that was odd never drops that much in one day.

Betting the turn out of truckers shutting down isn't enough to make an impressionable statement. At least the same time last year it wasn't for the same reasons. Will be interesting to see the outcome.

Don't blame the truckers for trying to defend their income. They can not afford to do anything else!
Put the blame where it's due: the price gouging-profit soaring oil companies and our politicians that are doing nothing about it.
