Is There A Financial Scandal Brewing at the LCMS?
Published April 1st, 2008 by Editor in Discernment
Yesterday, LCMS President Gerry Kieschnick claimed that the reason for canceling the Issues Etc. radio program was because it was losing $250,000 per year.
Those close to the story are challenging this figure and point to the fact that the Issues Etc. radio program
was the only show on KFUO AM that encouraged listeners to financially support their efforts.
But Now, the other shoe may have just dropped.
The Save the LCMS website has just uncovered documents that show that Kieschnick’s administration has been losing millions of dollars and has been borrowing from other ministry budgets to pay for operating expenses as well as a pet project called Ablaze.
For more information on this potential financial scandal read this post entitled Kieschnick Paid for Ablaze by Borrowing MILLIONS from Other Ministry Budgets
